REVISED LISTING * Lots of recent work done to perfect this***** Hello, I have started the NO reserve auction and hope to see what happens this time ! "93117chris" user ID on photobucket for about 60 pictures. I will personally drive this anywhere in the states to your doorstep in 3 days of cleared payment and funds to cover gas(airfare home) , food and lodging. Im guessing about $500-600... @32mpg! Up for Bid (hesitantly) is my fine example of a well-kept classic BMW. What I have, 1980 BMW 320i E21 5-speed dealer install BAE/Rayjay/Century turbo . The history is RICH with the car, LOTS of paperwork follows the car and it was ONLY serviced at BMW dealer its entire life( BMW Santa Maria)! With that said you can imagine that, yes it was garaged its entire life and also a non-smoker. Meticulous maintenance and detail were the emphasis of all 3 of the owners including me while owning it. I have all the original owners manuals, sales brochures and service manual for the vehicle. The paperwork alone will sell the car…. It’s a Time capsule that has been preserved in hands of good owners. It was sitting in a garage for 11 years before I got it and refurbished most components. DETAILS: Exterior: Factory paint Sepiabrun complemented with 2 red pinstripes. At a standpoint the car strikes the eyes as a total 80’s machine giving off mixed feelings about style and compatability. The attractiveness and beautiful 20 spoke wheels give off as a sporty machine but not overdone or too complicated in their manor. The add-ons such as the"NLA" RARE front bra protect the original finish from paint chipping or rocks on the under-maintained California roadways. The roof spoiler/ wind deflector adds a POP to the top when driving giving a subtle appeal to the added lines. All the lamps are in good condition and work properly. I have to also add that the driver door has a very feint dent in it but its hard to tell because I had a body shop do the paintless dent removal to it. the paint looks really good for its age, lite fade but not entirely bad, one corner looks like it had a touch up done and I confirmed this with the previuous owner who said the car had been left in neutral one afternoon and it rolled out of his driveway , on its way down rubbed the fender of his trailer. so they blended a scratch that was left by the trailer. It is really in better shape than any other E21 Ive come across! Interior: EXCELLENT! (9.5/10)All panels, seats and headliner are original and in Excellent condition. since the pictures, I have spent countless hours detailing the entire car inside and out... it really looks way better then the pictures here!!! The Dash is not cracked, nor faded. The rear seats look like no one has ever sat in them. Steering wheel is great, all gauges are working, all switches work, all hvac controls work. AC NEEDS RECHARGE. Front seats have less than normal wear being protected by Sheepskin covers so they look great underneath! Driver side shows some wear but no tears! Seat belts are great. Center console is also in great shape, the Radio is aftermarket purchased in 85’ by the original owner. (the factory ones didn’t last that long) all speakers work great, fader works great. The glovebox is in really nice shape and the small charged flashlight is still in there! Trunk CLEAN, Spare, Excellent, Tools are all there! Snow chains were a add on purchased through the dealer. Plenty of room to place groceries and miscellaneous goods in. service jack and wheel lug are perfect! ENGINE: Currently on the clock at 131,*** miles and still strong. I love driving this car anywhere and everywhere! These M10 engines are known for high miles and dependability. There was a compression and leakdown performed at a local shop reading 1.155psi2.156psi3.152psi4.155psi 5% leak on intake or exhaust stroke. The car has a Dealer install Century Turbo kit including a Rajay Turbo and a BAE wastegate set at 4/5psi Receipts to show! because of the enrichment the car does require a little finess upon start up but runs perfectly normal. Fitted with a ANSA era appropriate exhaust system gives a wonderful hum! Passes California smog exam with low emission readings and follows all laws by displaying a CARB EO number. The temp gauge always sticks in the middle, Car has newer Injectors and bushings , cleaned fuel distributor and new lines, Extrude honed Century intake with port matching gasket which were reworked not very long ago. New Plugs, Wires distributor and Cap. New thermostat and coolant flushed weeks ago. New belts, new inline fuel pump. I will have the car serviced and a full PDI if requested at a BMW dealer or Specialty shop upon request if you are a serious bidder… Steering, Suspension, Brakes, Driveline and Transmission: Steers like a charm, Nice short turning radius with a very able bodied and light car make it effortless. All steering components show no signs of wear and alignment is nice and STRAIT! Suspension is simple and stock with all dealer parts replaced once in its life somewhere in the 90’s before the car was parked from 2002-2011. The recoil on the shocks shows like there is no wear whatsoever. The brakes are pretty solid, just flushed the fluid, pads look new and excellent, rear drums aren’t acting up and don’t need any adjustments. As mentioned above, the front rotors have a cover in the rim to deflect brake dust and keep it to a minimum and they look great! Driveshaft and differential are balanced and the diff has very little lash( hwy miles) rubber bushings look good and are not cracked. The 5 speed Getrag gearbox will last forever, Clutch is still with plenty of life(NEW), replaced and bled the clutch master cylinder(NEW) a week ago shifting great! Cv axles are fine no damage and all wheel bearings move freely without serious lash or wear. Anything else?
