Vehicle Detail

we have decided to move out of state so it is time for me to be real about projects, vehicles and stuff i have been storing in the garage. i have to decide which toys and projects that i want to and can move across the country... and those i can't. so one of the projects im parting with is my first mustang... it is a 1970 mustang sportsroof fastback. i bought the car in 95 IIRC and drove it until i had to put it away for the winter. the next spring i had pretty much all the floor metal replaced from the firewall to the taillight panel, including the rear frame rails. i added a set of subframe connectors too. i had the car sanded and painted. all the broken stock guages were removed and all autometer stuff was installed. the seat were junked and a set of poly race buckets were put in. i pretty much left it alone until 2002. in 2002 i decided to upgrade the mustang and then decided to make it lighter to be more of a drag car. i sold the 351c and 4sp that was in the car and began building a 468ci for it. i had a cage put in the car and then had to cut out the drivers diagonal down bar because i couldnt get in the car, even though he 'measured.' we began by stripping the car down for a new paint job. pulled the stock doors, put them away in the corner of the garage and installed a set of US BODYWORKS fiberglass doors with SWR race levers. we removed the front frame rails and installed boxed rails and began installing a heidts mustang II suspension with afco coil overs and disc brakes. i was going to do a [1] piece fiberglass flip forward front clip on the car. we started installing a rear 4 link set up with a mini tub and got as far as getting the frame to frame crossmember in before life made me put the project aside in the fall of 2003. in 2005 i came across a great deal i couldnt pass up on another 1970 mustang and yep... i picked it up. i built a 351w/c4 for the car and have been rolling and racing that pony since. in 2006 i sold the 468 motor for the project mustang. in 2011 i sold my house and had to move the project mustang out of the garage and take it to my parents backyard. it has been sitting under the tarps since feb 2011 and the truth of the matter is that there is no way that i have time to finish the car. there is some surface rust on the floors and here and there from it sitting outside. it is time to let it go to a new home and let someone else put some love into it. the body is straight. like i said the floors have been replaced, seat risers at the same time too. i have most of the parts to finish the front setup, like a new flaming river rack and pinion etc... the complete stock doors will come with the car as well. currently there is an 8" under the car, but also included is the 9" from my other mustang that was pulled when i put the heidts 4 link in that car. the 9" has 3.89 gears and a spool in it. all the bearings and seals were replaced when it was pulled out of my other stang. there is a set of Wilwood drag brakes on the 9" that have approx 100 miles on them. there is a set of Magna leaf springs and shelby traction bars still bolted to the axle as well. the front fenders are rust free and were painted at the same time as the shell. a few hours in the garage with a dedicated set of hands and the stock doors can go back on the car, the rear 8" can be swapped for the 9" and the steering can be finished. get a new radiator support and the front fenders can be bolted back on. i kept the sections of the orginal body that the hood hinges bolted too for ease of locating the hood etc. i had an fiberglass hood on it but took it off and then ended up using it on my other stang. i have all the other tubes for the cage. all the glass is with the car [windshield, back glass, door windows, quarter windows]. any and all stuff i have for the mustang will go with the car [ hood, doors, bumpers?, grille, cowl, side view mirrors etc... the 4 link bar kit and mounts]. i have a 5.0 motor that has an edlebrock intake [carb] on it that will go with the car. also included is a built C6 trans [reverse manual, art car TB] that i was going to use with the 468. i have the project for sale locally as well. time for this pony to find a new stable... local pick up is recommended as this is a project and will have many parts that are not attached that will go with the car. On Nov-19-11 at 13:12:32 PST, seller added the following information:just added 15 more pics. the car has an MSD ignition system in it and relay pack to run accessories. the down bars are in the car, thought i removed them. also i will throw in a brand new carpet set for the floor i was going to run in my other stang. the factory door glass are tinted limo. the front lower valance, side view mirrors and cowl are still in black primer. the doors and hood are still blue from the paint job back when i got the car.
