As a 2006 with only 130k miles, it is a very nice car. This VW was purchased from a new car dealer as a trade in. The transmission needs replaced or repaired. This car is totally fixable, however, we do not have room in our inventory to keep it. When you first start driving this Jetta it is not obvious that there is a problem, however, once the fluids get warm it becomes apparent. You can feel the transmission shift very hard. We have driven it minimally in order not to do any further damage. Again, it is not obvious there is a problem until the car has been driven about 10 miles. Before the tranny problem kicks in, this Jetta drives great actually. It idles smoothly, seems to shift smoothly, and has quite a bit of pep to it. When I first drove it, I thought it would be the next car that I would drive personally as a daily driver. It was comfortable and easy with all of the amenities at my finger tips. We know from past experience that to repair a transmission can vary widely in cost. A new car dealer will typically charge 3 to 4 times what an independent auto shop will charge. This is perfect car for someone who can either fix it themselves or get it done cheaply. This car was regularly serviced by the previous owner, as seen on the Carfax. It is also a 1 owner. Feel free to call with any questions. 804-938-8767 Exterior: This VW Jetta is very nice looking. The paint is very shiny and glossy. It has factory 16” alloy wheels with almost new tires- 205/55/r16. The alloys have minimal curb chew on them. Part of the appeal of the VW is the lower body molding. This lets the car sit a little lower and look a little cooler. The front grill has Silver outline with a matching VW emblem in chrome. The lower grill has moldings to add to the flare of the car. You also get a built in front license plate holder. The exterior of this car is in above average condition. There are a few minor scuffs on the body, but nothing significant. Interior: Inside this Jetta you will find to be in Very Good Condition, much better than expected. The Interior is a combination of Dark Gray and chrome and carbon accents. This color combination looks great! The seats are gray Leather. This adds a dash of class and upgrade to the interior. Touches of chrome accent the door handles, trim, and with a VW emblem on the steering wheel. The overall look of this Jetta is very sleek and expensive. This VW seats 5 Passengers. The front seats are high back, individual captain style seats. Both of these seats are firm and comfortable. The bolsters and support all feel firm. The upholstery is in good condition with no significant wear, except for on the driver’s seat. The is a driver’s seat has some powered adjustments with other manual adjustments. Both front seats recline with manual lumbar support. Each Front Passenger has their own Vanity Mirror with lights. In between the front seats is a center armrest. This arm rest is padded for extra comfort. This armrest opens to expose a storage area. The second row seat seats 3 more passengers. There are 3 Height Adjustable Head rests for this rear seat. There Are 3 Shoulder belts, one for each rear passenger, including the middle. I really like have the third shoulder belt when I have younger rear seat passengers since the shoulder belt offers more protection. There is a lot more leg and head room that I expected back there! The rear seat is a split rear bench. The rear seat backs will flip forward if you needs just a little extra rear cargo space. Or you can flip and fold the seat in two sections for complete rear cargo space. You can also remove the head rests. There is a flip down armrest with storage and cup holders. There is also a pass-through behind this armrest that allows items such as snow skis to slid through from the trunk. The seats are all in good condition. The combination of seat styling looks great! The carpets are in good condition. The inside of this car smells good too, there is no smoke or pet odor. Inside this VW you will find lots of surprises and upgrades. There are power door locks and a remote keyless entry fob. With this remote entry you can lock and un lock the doors and pop the rear hatch. There is one key. The driver side door has controls for all of the power windows (with child lock safety feature), the power side view mirrors and the door locks. The front driver side window is 1 touch. You can also adjust the power mirrors here. Both front doors have storage pockets with cup holders. Both front seats have rear seat pockets. You also get chrome door handles which look really sharp against the gray interior. I did notice a little wear on window buttons on the rear driver side. The center dash houses the audio system and the climate control. The Steering Wheel is Black and In Good Condition. The Steering Wheel is smooth and in great condition. It does not show any sun or heat wear. ENTERTAINMNET SYSTEM: The sound system in this Jetta is great! It is the Factory. You will find an In Dash CD player and AM FM Tuner. This car is Remote Mulit CD compatible. The radio has a large display that is easy to view. Just below you have ac controls, the gear shifter, cup holders and pen holder. Included is the owner's manual. The Interior of this Car is very nice. Overall, the interior of this Jetta is in above average condition. There are a few little things that show minor wear, however, it is not substantial (except for the tear in driver’s seatThis car really looks fine. The interior is overall very comfortable. This is a great car for anyone. The interior of this car smells great! I am very sensitive to cigarette smoke and do not believe anyone has ever smoked in this car. I do not see any small hairs to indicate that a pet has ever been in here either. Under the Hood: This VW Jetta has a 2.5L L5 engine that gets 23-30 Miles Per Gallon. The DOHC Dual Overhead Cam 151 cubic inch 5cylo engine generates 150 Hp @ 5,000 rpm and 170 lbs-ft torque at 3,750 rpm. These Stats team with The Automatic transmission allow for high MPG in the city and on the highway, est. 22-30 miles per gallon. While I have minimally driven this car, it is fast and super peppy. Driving Impressions: This 2006 VW Jetta will turn over and drive with a cold start. However, due to the transmission issue, it will not drive more than a few miles. The few miles that I did drive it, it was really a nice ride. It idles smoothly, and seems to function almost perfectly (until the transmission warms up).
