Vehicle Detail

These Early Buicks Are Americas Rolling Art This Buick was restored by a gentleman in Boca Raton Florida over a three year period (2003 thru 2006) by himself, his son, and the dealership where he worked at. I purchased this Buick in June of 2006. Work previous owner performed and or had done to this Buick 1. Rebuilt motor. 2. Rebuilt transmission. 3. Rebuilt rear-end. 2. Complete body work to include complete paint work. 3. Motor repainted and detailed. 4. Complete interior replaced with period correct fabric. 5. Carpeted trunk compartment. 6. Trim re-chromed and or straightened and polished. 7. Bumpers re-chromed showing some rust will need to be re-chromed for show quality. 8. Replaced all lights 9. Custom stereo system with 4 speakers One speaker in each of the front kick panels and two speakers in the rear deck lid all hidden. (modern radio in glove box) 10 Original 6-volt system with 12 volt battery in trunk to operate the modern stereo. Items I have had done since I have owned 1. Complete brake system. 2. Updated cooling system from a 3 core to a 4 core keeping the original top tank. 3. Rebuilt starter. 4. Changed the bias ply tires to period look steel belted radials. 5. New steel wheels (rims) 1" wider than stock. 6. New large baby moons with beauty rings (original full wheel covers go with car). 7. New wheel bearing all 4 wheels. 8. Complete suspension system (all 4 coil springs all 4 leaver shocks all new leaver shock arms) 9. Carburetor rebuilt. 10. New 6 volt battery 11. Gas door guard 12. Plugs and coil What doesn’t work on the car: 1. Original radio 2. Cigarette lighter 3. Clock (broken terminal on back of clock can be re-soldered then it will work) 4. Trunk light (bulb missing) Other items that are included 1. Original owners guide 2. Interchangeable parts list book 3. 1951 maintenance manual 4. Motor’s auto repair manual 5. Original set of full wheel covers (no dents in wheel covers) 6. Clear Florida title Items that are not included with the car 1. In the trunk pictures the loose items (other than the spare, original hubcaps, jack, 12 volt battery for the modern radio, owners guide, parts list, and manual) are not included. 2. The picnic box over the seat is not included. 3. The old lantern on the floor board. This Buick wins awards and trophies whenever it is shown and is so dependable you could use it as a daily driver if you wanted. Drives very straight and handles great at highway speeds. It runs very well and very quiet. The transmission is very smooth and operates as new. Original gas pedal start is functional. Directional signal handle is firm, directional signals still cancel, shift handle is firm, horn works, windows roll up and down effortlessly, and both doors click shut with a very easy "thud". Heater and defroster work as they should. You would be hard pressed to find another Buick like this one!. Although it is not a concourse perfect car, it is a lot of fun to drive around town on the weekends and to the local shows and draws lots of attention. I would rate this car a 9 out of 10. Body lines and margins are as good as when this Buick rolled off the assembly line or better. As you can see from the pictures the body has no dents and is extremely straight also the trim has no dents. Finished in white over jade. As told to me by the previous owner the Jade Green is not a stock 1951 color but a stock 1953 Buick color. The ‘53 color is a few shades darker than the original ‘51 color These cars are getting harder to find in this condition Vehicle is sold as is where is with no warranty expressed or implied.
