Vehicle Detail
The two-owner vehicle presented here for your consideration is an outstanding, low-mileage 1995 Mercedes Benz E300 Diesel. As illustrated, this vehicle is adorned in Brilliant Emerald paint over Parchment Leather interior. This was part of the $1625 paint and upholstery package which specifies true leather seating surfaces as opposed to the MB-Tex seating surfaces of most E-Class diesels. This vehicle is also equipped with the $1605 Value-Added E1 Package which includes the automatic locking rear differential, headlamp wiper/washer system, and electric heated front seats. Perhaps the most noteworthy option, and certainly rare to diesels, is the $1295 Special Edition Package. The Special Edition package boasts an integrated cellular telephone, six-disc trunk-mounted CD changer, high performance sound system, special edition alloy wheels, electronically adjustable steering column, driver's seat memory, burl walnut interior trim, metallic paint, and stainless steel door sills. This vehicle is literally equipped with every factory option available in 1995 and is completely stock with no aftermarket modifications made since. More important than the abundant list of options is that every one of them operate as originally designed. All features, whether standard or optional, work without flaw and completely as intended. This vehicle was not only ordered as an exceptional motorcar, but maintained accordingly. All maintenance and repair records have been preserved will be presented to the next owner. The mechanical condition matches its exceptional aesthetics. The engine is the extremely reliable, durable, and fuel-efficient 3.0 liter, 24 valve, inline six cylinder diesel mated to the equally sturdy four speed automatic transmission and electronic locking rear differential. When new, the EPA fuel economy ratings were 26 miles per gallon city and 32 miles per gallon highway which equate to a rated range of over 750 miles. Personal recorded fuel economy was over 35 miles per gallon on a 2000 mile trip to Michigan and back over the summer. While not propelling the vehicle to impressive accleration or top speed capabilities, it is quiet, vibration-free, and goes about its business with the aplomb expected of a premium, German, luxury sedan. The diesel engine does not smoke excessively, nor does it have any leaks or anything untoward in its operation Mercedes-Benz has always been the premier manufacturer of passenger car diesel engines and this specific example is no exception. The vehicle was purchased new in New Jersey, but almost immediately moved to Wilmington, North Carolina where it has been enjoyed ever since. As a result, the vehicle has absolutely no rust or hints thereof. That being said, the body is still not showroom perfect. While showing no signs of ever having bodywork, it does have the occasional knick or ding associated with a 17 year old vehicle. It is a perfectly functional, extremely respectable time capsule that will take you back to the final year of the most successful and, arguably best built, E-Class line of Mercedes-Benz automobiles. If you have any questions not addressed or would like more information on this stately vehicle, please feel free to call Tate at (616) 291-5169 or Jim at (910) 352-5930. Thank you for your interest and good luck bidding.
