Here is the story: I purchased this car this year with the intentions of making it a "keeper." I tried to buy this car for about six years from the grandson of the man who puchased it in 1977. He always thought he would fix it, but he never did. Grandpa got sick and passed, and the car sat from 1982 until 2011. The mileage is original. The car really needs a complete restoration. The car does start and run and sounds pretty good. There are no brakes. The front cross member on the frame has some small holes rusted through. There are various other components that will need to be restored or replaced. I have spent nearly $3,000 on this car in the last 2 months and have decided that it is a bigger project than I am capable of at this time. The following is a list of items that have been replaced: new fuel pump, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, rebuilt carb, ground strap, oil filter, oil, air filter, gas tank, sending unit, various components to hook up the gas tank, gas cap, a set of tires with less than five miles on them, and a newer battery. This car will have to be trailered home. The title is free and clear and in my name. I am not interested in trading for anything. This car is for sale to US bidders ONLY - no exceptions. I do not ship. If shipping is involved, it will be the sole responsibility of the successful bidder. Two forms of payment are accepted: you can either pay in cash upon pickup, or you can send a certified bank check or money order. If you choose to send a check or money order, I will deposit it and my bank will put a seven-business-day hold on the funds until they clear.
