1930 Genuine Model A built in America by Henry Ford employees A nice straight all steel mostly original car--Mileage is since restoration This car is an older restoration and was owned by a 91 year old gentleman who drove it regularly. The motor runs like a model A Ford should and the famous Ford oil leak is as little as I have ever seen. Obviously rebuilt when there were craftsmen around. This car has been well kept up mechanically and the owner rejected use of import parts where possible. Recent new parts: water pump and water hoses starter w/solenoid generator modern cut-out spark plugs distributor turn signals whitewall tires & new tubes 8 volt battery electric windshield wiper motor new wiring as needed Inspection is welcome by appointment; As a daily driver there are naturally some paint chips and scratches but they add to the character of this fine old car, and it still makes a nice clean appearance. For some reason people seem to recognize and appreciate the real thing. It gets more attention at car shows than the recently restored cars . There is a nice large trunk rather than a useless rumble seat so plenty of room for travel bags or tools & parts if you are so inclined. It steers and drives well. The window glass looks like new. The windows roll up and down with ease. The upholstery is older but still in very good condition. The brakes are typical original mechanical and they will stop you but need some attention.. The transmission and rear end are quiet and in good order. Engine oil is clean. A water recovery system has been added to the radiator cooling system which runs cool even on California hot days.. The front bumper and headlights are in excellent condition. The rear bumpers are OK but not as nice as the other bright work. The doors open and closed nicely. The horn makes the correct AAOOGA sound! Take a look at how nice the roof was done. The car starts easily by a hidden remote spring loaded toggle switch which is quite convenient. The headlights are still 6 volt bulbs 32/50 candle power. All electrical circuits are fused for safety and everything works.. The four shocks appear to be later model from the flathead V8 era. This vehicle is straight & original, not rusted out, not butchered or loaded with low quality import replacement parts. Such a pleasure to see the Ford logo or made in USA stamps all other the car. Old cars are never perfect but this one is a goodie. Priced at a very reasonable reserve. International buyers are welcome but will need to make their own transportation arrangements. Payment is expected by bank to bank wire transfer unless other arrangements are made.
