Vehicle Detail
1992 Corvette-Forged Stroked Ls6 Engine-76mm Turbo-550RWHP **This is a No Reserve auction, as I really can't put a price on this vehicle, with hundreds of hours of custom wiring, fabricating, etc. But I'm confidant the auction will end at an appropriate number. The ONLY reason I'm selling is I financed a New Vette & HAVE to sell this one in turn :( *Please keep in mind- there is about $30,000 in labor that was spent on this car and the included fabrication work and your getting THAT for FREE !! Details: The Engine setup is what makes this car ONE-OF-A-KIND! The Engine only has 2,500 miles and is barely broken in. This car has NEVER been raced- just driven on the street with proper break-in technique (Oil changed every 500 miles so far) The engine itself is an all-aluminum LS6 Block with a complete Forged steel rotating assembly ($3500). Pistons are dished to lower compression for maximum boost potential. The heads are Patriot Stage III with 72cc Combustion Chambers to further lower compression ($2,000). Final compression 8.4:1. Has Harland Sharp Roller-Rockers ($500), titanium pushrods, and Top of the Line Valvetrain (Patriot Stage III). 76mm FAST Throttle-body and a ported LS6 Intake manifold ($500). 76mm Turbo ($1,000), 50mm Blow-Off Valve ($450), 60mm Waste Gate ($400), Huge front-mount intercooler ($400) & Racing Radiator with single large fan ($400). Car is currently tuned on 10 PSI but 15 and 20 lbs WasteGate Springs are included. This build took quite a bit of time and even more money. The original engine was an Iron LT1 so the new engine has lightened the front-end significantly. Custom Bell-Housing and Scatter-Shield ($3500) ' was professionally manufactured and fitted to allow the new engine to be mated to the car's existing drivetrain as it is one of the strongest ever put in a Corvette. The Tranmission is a ZF6 Black-label. It was just taken apart and inspected by AAMCO who replaced the gaskets, fluid and freshened it up. AAMCO guaruntees their work and I have receipts for services and a brand new clutch [now has 200 miles($600)] they installed. Plus the Fidanza 10.0lb Aluminum flywheel that was resurfaced by AAMCO (for maintainance) when the new clutch was installed which was done 200 miles ago. [The following is info on the drivetrain] It IS the factory drivetrain The ZF6 Transmission is Strong & can handle 900+Tq. The rear-end is an IRS Dana 44- which is the same rear-end (differential) used by Dodge for the Viper and is also able to hold up against 900 ft lbs of tq. The clutch is a Spec Stage 3+ and has 200 miles on it as I just upgraded to it. The Flywheel is a Fidanza 11.5 lb Aluminum, was JUST re-surfaced by AAMCO for maximum grip (Have receipts) and gives incredible throttle response. Dyno-tuned to a conservative 555 rwhp and 675 rwtq on 10 psi and a Rich fuel to air ratio. I have a 15 and 20 psi Springs for the Waste gate as well. Also for tuning purposes the cars ECU (computer) was upgraded to a later model 2001 ECU (which are LS1/LS6 compatable) which has tuning advantages over the stock multi-computer setup setup. If you take this car to a car show People will be stuck to you and your car like super glue. Wheels are Black w/ silver lip, C5 Z06, 18's (all four) and in perfect condition. 9 in wide in front 10.5 in back. Tires are practically Brand New Nitto Drag radials ($1200). front tires are size 35/275/ZR18 and rear tires are size 45/305/ZR18. Car also has a custom brake setup with C5 Z06 Rotors and Calipers. Replaced the restrictive and cheap Rubber Hose system that came stock with 3/16 inch steel tubing and braided steel lines to the calipers. setup Exterior is without a ding or any body-type damage. GARAGE KEPT- Paint has clearcoat left and overall Looks Good. The front bumper has a small section of paint peeling due to a bra (easy touch-up) and there is a 3 x 1 inch clearcoat imperfection on the back of the hatch, but its not really a scratch. "Flip-Up" Headlight system functioning perfectly. Certainly above average for a track street/strip car For Sure! Overall I give the Exterior 6/10 only because the front bumper needs repainting. There are not ANY leaks anywhere in the car, so the weather stripping is working Perfectly. Interior: Driver-Side door panel is loose. All interior lighting, windows, seats, etc. are power-operated and functioning. The dash has custom gauges, (Tach, Speedo, Oil Pressure, Water Temp &) Boost all of which work except speedometer (needs to be wired up). This means the original tachometer is no longer in the vehicle. Rear hatch opens electronically via stock switch. No Headunit or Speakers- they were Professionally removed and the car is ready to accomodate your sound system. Leather is in great condition. The E-Brake assembly could use replcing, but I givfe it Overall 6/10 (Because the 12-way power seats, windows and fold-up headlight switch are functioning perfectly)
