1957 Chevy 3200 Long Bed Pickup Truck You are bidding on a 57 Chevy long bed pickup truck. This truck has been partially restored and is very good running condition. All major mechanical systems are working, including new brakes at each wheel. It has a 235 straight six engine and 3-speed transmission. The engine runs very well and will start on the first turn even when cold. You can drive it home and go out and play today. I have a clear Virginia title for this truck. I've driven this as high as 65mph on the highway, but it's much happier around 45mph. Keep in mind it has the original gearing and it was never intended for modern interstates. Great for running to Home Depot in style. Everything looks better and is more fun to get in an old truck, even potting soil and your wife's petunias. The original gas tank has been removed from the cab and instead mounted as an external fuel cell in the truck bed. Not only does this remove the smell and danger of fuel in the cab, it gives you some much needed internal storage room. Bench seat is not original, but is in good condition. The radio does not work, however I do have speakers mounted in a pair of kick panels that will go along with the truck. Driver and passenger both have 3-point safety belts that are bolted through the cab. New copies of the owner's and shop manual are included. The cab and body are solid and in great shape, the previous owner a lot of work including replacing the rear fenders and cab corners. There is no visible rust with the exception of the dings noted in the pictures. The under body is solid has been sprayed and protected. Note also the new windshield.The bed of the truck is new, however there are some black stains on the wood as you can see in the pictures. The odometer and fuel gauges do not work. I purchased this truck earlier in the year hoping to work on it with my kids, but I don't have the time and space to work on it like I had hoped and would like to sell it while it's still in great condition.
