Vehicle Detail
FEW CARS have the stunning Star Power of a tail-finned pink Rambler! It's an amazing scene-stealer! Park this baby next to a '57 Chevy, '65 Mustang or most any muscle car and watch them disappear into the background! The girl just can't help it--she's dramatic! Festival Rose is the name of the primary paint color, with white side insets and roof. The interior is as bodacious as they come; wild geometric designs in pink vinyl, charcoal brocade fabric, grey metallic painted surfaces with pink dash insert, full-loop carpet in black and shimmering chrome accents everywhere. The full moniker describing this beauty is "Rambler Custom Country Club"...and they meant it! The interior has its original headliner and sunvisors, and the seats and door panels have been acurately re-done using original materials and accurate patterns. Even the full-loop carpet is cut and stitched perfectly. The colors and contrasts are perfect and the effect is stunning! the trunk does not have its original mat (they are available in re-manufacture) but makes up for this lack with its luxurious and perfectly-fitting liner...certainly better than original! The quality restoration of this car was completed some eight years ago, then safely stored until present day. The paint is of high quality and is a perfect match of the original. No bondo anywhere that I can find--in fact, this was a clean, low mileage and rust-free car to start with! The chrome will glint your eyes out, the lenses are nice, and overall it looks like a restoration from only a couple of years back. There are a couple of very tiny nicks that I have successfully matched and obliterated from view. Even the wide whites still have their rubber tips on the tread, and no signs of dry rot! This was the last year at American Motors for a 4-door Hardtop, and only 3,937 of this model were produced! Recent repairs/service include a fully restored brake system with all-new metal lines, flexible hoses and master cylinder. The gas tank has been re-done and appears new and fresh! An oil service, valve cover gasket, plugs, wires, points and condenser, cap and rotor, carburetor rebuild and fresh hoses and belts, recent door and trunk seals all prove that this is a good driver as well as a probable trophy winner! This Rambler has all the trade-mark styling tricks of the era..tail fins, frenched quad head lights, wrap-around windshield and rear window, true pillarless Hardtop greenhouse, brilliant colors, bedazzling interior, wide white wall tires, push-button drive, reclining seats, squeeze door handles, and on and on... Be sure to contact me personally with any and all questions or comments! I will accept either cash or PayPal. Lakeland, FL is located midway between Tampa and Orlando along the the I-4 corridor. I ENCOURAGE YOU TO COME SEE AND DRIVE THIS FINE EXAMPLE! I do have this car advertised locally and retain the right to sell it to a local buyer during this auction.
