We are trying to dispose of our high mileage Oldsmobile Silouette. It runs but there is plenty that is wrong with it and is listed below and in a descending order of what I would consider the most concerning The engine runs well but the transmission shifiting has begun to shift a bit hard. The front passenger tie rod needs to be replaced One of the headlight housings is dull and the right brakelight socket had a short a melted and needs a new board. In addition, one of the brake light housings has enough damage that it needs to be replaced. A brakelight board and brakelight housing can be purchased for about $70. The rear window wiper does not work. The gas gage is non functioning. We have been relying on the computer that does the range and fuel used calculations which is relatively accurate. All the seats are leather and there are no rips, tears, or scratches but they are very filthy. One of handles that can lay the rear seat back has broken off and I replaced it with a vice grips to perform the same function. Both front seats were heated but they have long ago stopped working. Glove Compartment Door has fallen off due to broken hinges Has Entertainment System but the VHS no longer functions. The TV still works fine and we just used a regular DVD player or playstation feeding thru the Aux Ports. There is a very large dent in the rear hatch. There is also about 6 inches long on the front driver quarter panel. In addition there are 3 small round baseball dents on the passenger side of the van. About 7 years ago when it had less than 100k miles it was involved in an accident that did about 13k worth of damage and 2 years ago it had to have it's head gasket replaced. I will deliver it within 30 miles of Lafayette, Indiana for free or for $75 I will deliver it to the following cities Chicago, Indianapolis, Louisville, Springfield, IL Saint Louis, MO or anywhere in between those two cities. If you want it delivered some place else we can probably work out a deal where I will do it for gas plus return trip fare. Lastly, the car is in fairly rough condition but I feel it has a lot left mechanically if the brake lights and tie rods are fixed. I don't expect to receive much and offer to refund your money (expect for any delivery costs) within 3 months or 10,000 miles if you decide that you don't want it.
