Vehicle Detail

frambusch Store Here is an opportunity to own a rare 50’s classic, 1954 Cadillac Eldorado! Only 2150 were sold new; who knows how many remain. It is an outstanding car. It is not a museum piece but it is nearly flawless and really clean. The paint is great and flaws are hard to find. The top is like new and works well. The chrome was polished off in some spots but again, it still looks great. It starts easily, exhaust is clear, and it runs well. Transmission shifts great! You can drive it often and be proud of its great condition. It would be hard to find a 54 Eldorado this good.. I took a lot of detailed pictures, on two different days and lighting therefore varies, to give you a precise idea what this car is. Hope you’ll enjoy them. This Cady comes with the following equipment: Power brakes Power steering Heater E-Z-Eye Glass Power Windows Signal Seeking Radio Vertical seat adjuster Horizontal seat adjuster Autronic Eye And as every 54 Eldorado it has: Ribbed bright extruded aluminum panels on lower rear fenders Chromed wire wheels White sidewall tires Dual plastic sun visors Fog lamps Monogram plates on doors engraved for original owners “Bill” and “Donna” Eldorado signs on the trunk, under the radio, on the sides of the front seats, and on the door sills. This car does miss golden plating on V-shaped ornaments, on “Cadillac” and “Eldorado” sings, and the front crest. It doesn’t have the golden crests behind the air-slot fenderbreaks at all. It was this way when I bought it. This car is an early restoration, 2003, but very likely earlier one, and came to Florida from Colorado. Engine serial number stamped on the frame as well as body name plate correspond with the build sheet from Cadillac Motor Car Division, Historical Services. The car doesn’t have an original transmission and engine (numbers don’t match the build sheet). Also, the car was originally painted in Alpine White with blue and white leather interior and black top. Now it is in Aztec Red with red and white interior and white top. In 2010 I put in a new gas tank, new stainless steel exhausts, and the Hydra-Matic transmission was rebuild by a specialist. What doesn’t work: AM signal seeking radio Autronic Eye Map light Fuel gauge (just the gauge on the dash, the sender unit is ok) Two switches operating windows on the right side (all four windows work) Left tail light – back-up light, and rear red light (turn signal and brake light ok) Right front headlight bulb burned Windshield wipers and washer Trunk light Automatic choke (Its simply not there. When the engine is cold you open the hood set the choke by hand and start it. You need to keep your foot on the gas pedal for a minute till it warms up. Thats it. Youll have to make the decision whether its worth to fix it yourself) Easy fixes to be done: Door weather strips near hinges need to be glued back on Wire connection to the oil pressure sender (now it is fixed temporarily) You see that most of these things wont take much to take care of. The car leaks very small amounts of oil, trany fluid, and rear axle lube. I just keep a sheet of brown paper under so you’ll be able to see it clearly. It’s probably because I drove it very little, only a few hundred miles since the purchase in 2007. I drove it much more recently and the leaks are quickly disappearing. Just keep it moving! The car doesn’t have a low-rise metal boot for convertible top. With this car you’ll also get: Custom fitted car cover (red) Shop manual and owner’s manual Cadillac coffee table book This car is sold as is. Enjoy this auction and ask questions if you have any!
