Vehicle Detail
Up for bids today is my 1987 Pontiac Fiero GT Fastback NO RESERVE! This is a great and highly desirable model. Fresh 2.8 motor installed with just 60,xxx miles in great shape. The car has never been wrecked, and comes with a clean & clear title. This car has been very well taken care of and is in Excellent Shape especially considering that it's 24 years old! The engine had a new rear seal installed and freeze plugs as well as fresh new coolant right before install. The engine also received a brand new oil pump and spark plugs as preventative measures. The upper plenum was refinished in silver and looks great! It really makes this Fiero stand out from others. The car has no known electrical problems. The odometer shows 80,000 miles and the car has around 170,xxx miles. The fiero has a brand new (less than 2 weeks old) battery, new brake caliper, and new "cold" air intake filter and stainless connecting tube. A new fuel pump was installed recently. All the hard work has been done! The transmission shifts good. The exhaust manifold were ported to allow better flow and more power. The car sounds great, nice little rumble but is not obnoxious. Many people have mistaken it for a V8! The red paint has some normal chips and the spoiler was just repainted. The interior is gray and in great shape. We just detailed it and it looks good as new except for the shift surround, it has slightly pulled away but could be glued back together. The door panels have the side pockets. The speedometer shows that the tank is full but it isn't. It was working but I must have pulled the "bobber" up on accident when I was changing the fuel pump. Should be an easy fix. The hood latch needs adjustment and is driveable as is, should also be an easy fix. The rear quarter panels have some cracks around the edges from the previous engine getting too hot. The trunk carpet was replaced with black carpet from another Fiero and looks great! The tires on the black rims have lots of tread left. The car comes with the (4) factory black rims with tires with a lot of life left. If bidding goes above $2500 I will include the (4) 18" wheels and low profile tires seen in some of the pictures with the car. There are some minor scratches on the windshield and a small chip (no cracks.) None of these affect driveability or visibility. The air vents on the decklid have scoops on them and look really awesome. The hood scoop has some cracks in the paint and the blinkers need a new flasher. The headlight motors were swapped in from a car with just 40,xxx miles and work strong and fast. The power windows are slow but do work and power door locks function. The car has an automatic shift knob from a camaro and looks much better than the Fiero-style one. Catalytic converter was hollowed out before I purchased the car and was replaced recently with a straight pipe. The car has never been smoked in or had pets riding in it. It does not burn oil or leak any fluids. It has an aftermarket Sony Cd player. I also have a complete disassembled Caddy 4.5 liter V8 and 4 speed manual transmission that you can have with the car if desired. I'm selling this car because I now have kids and need a backseat! Car is located in Hanson, KY and no delivery services is being provided. If you want to fly in and drive it home, the closest large airports are Nashville, TN (2ish hours) and Louisville, KY (3ish hours.) Please ask any questions. Car has been described to the best of my ability and is sold AS IS. Enjoy!
