Vehicle Detail
Over a year spent building this custom. The level of detail goes far beyond a set of clubman bars or one of the seats from Vietnam. The rear is hand formed from carbon steel sheet metal and houses the battery and relocated electronics like the regulator, solenoid and rectifier. The hubs and spokes are polished with new brakes, forks are polished and rebuilt with new seals, the new rear controls are welded and machined from the old mid set, I tried to keep as much of the original bike parts integrated as I could, the motor is completely rebuilt and runs perfectly about 150 miles since completed, it is a work of art. Vintage header pipe, it isn't the stock pipes with the mufflers removed, It is a real 1971 header pipe for this motor with no pitting or rust damage, I have a baffle for it that quiets it down a bit, but it sounds to good with it out, I also have a variety of jets for any other mods. Speedometer and Tachometer are rebuilt and mounted on the polished upper clamp, all the dash lights work including the running lights and neutral safety. I can fully wire everything that can be mounted to any bike, so no short cuts or striped down excuses where a guage, horn or light should be. Mid controls, sidestand, old battery box, air box and all extra frame tabs have been removed and smoothed leaving a clean frame that has been welded where the original spot welds were, I shed 70 pounds from the stock bike. Urethane base/clear, new tires, Glassmat battery, new neck bearings, handles corners extremely well, very fun. The signals are LED front and rear with the correct LED flasher so they actually work, the carbs are rebuilt and rejetted with polished bowls and pods, filters, lines and petcock are all new. Really to much to list but I have a full build album that goes with the bike, I have a clear title in my name and posession, the bike has never been salvaged or wrecked, current plate and tags, even the horn works. I have been watching cafes built on the cb350 for a year now, I set my reserve based on the actual final sale price of those bikes that were atleast close to this ones level of quality. This Cafe hits the ton with ease, the five speed sails down highways and it handles like a dream. I have been building and restoring bikes since the mid 80's and this bike is just plain cool, I have a good deal invested in both cash and man hours to get it like this and you wont have to worry about being noticed while ridding it, prepare to answer questions. I left the badges off so people would look at the bike its self and not get hung up on the manufacturers brand. A very fun, easy bike, it is not a show bike, it has been ridden to get everything dialed in so expect minor imperfections, I have a good rating because I'm honest, if you win the bike you own the bike, this is an auction. if you have a feedback rating less than 10 please contact me before bidding or I will cancel your bid. I would appreciate if those interested in bidding please extend me the courtesy of following through, I dont jack the price up with shill bidders, please dont back out and expect me to pay the fees. Just to clarify this is a total and complete customized restoration from a complete tear down, every nut and bolt, even the grease zerts have been polished. Here is a youtube video link of a walk through, cold start and the bike being ridden. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_hTwFxfTfA
