Vehicle Detail
I am listing this car for a good friend of mine, he bought it to use as a cruiser but he found something else and this one must go. It's a 1976 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Brougham Coupe. It's blue on blue with a blue vinyl top. As far as I know, it's fully loaded with all power windows locks and seat which all work well. A/C, tilt, cruise control, rear defogger, Oldsmobile rally wheels, etc. Here is a description of the car as I see it;ExteriorThe car has been pretty well kept, it has newer tires, it runs and drives perfectly! Someone painted it years ago and it wasn't the greatest job but it's presentable at 10 feet. The vinyl top attachment holes started to rust, they will need to be filled in and the vinyl top replaced. Water does leak in the trunk but the trunk is solid as is the rest of the car. The only rust problem is where the vinyl top attached around the back window and side windows and the trunk lid itself should be replaced. The bumpers, chrome, and emblems are in good condition. The glass is nice and clear. Someone broke the hood ornament but it's included with the car. The wheels are in great condition. InteriorThe drivers seat has some wear and the steering wheel is cracked and broken around the collar. The dash is nice but could use a re-dye. The door panels are nice, all of the gauges work except the clock. The carpet is in good condition and the headliner is almost perfect. Overall, the interior doesn't need much to look new. MechanicalThis car starts right up and runs great. It has plenty of power and the transmission shifts perfectly. There are no squeaks or rattles. The front is nice and tight, the brakes are strong and smooth. The car really drives very well, I wish new cars drove like this one. The AC doesn't work but it's all there, probably a freon leak. I don't see anything wrong with it mechanically. OverallThis car is a very good candidate to restore or customize. I see no signs of any accident damage and most of what it needs is cosmetics. It wouldn't take much to make this a really nice Cutlass. It has all of the right options and these mid 70's Cutlasses were some of the best cars of their day. They were built well, had a great ride, solid drivetrains and were the classiest cars parked outside of the disco hall. Please look at all of the photos and ask any questions you may have. I can be reached at 941-720-0300, my name is Jason. I can help with shipping arrangements (buyer pays for shipping) and this car is sold as is. I am offering it at no reserve.Happy bidding!
