This dream car is for a collector that is on a budget. Two years ago this car was appraised locally for $5,500. On a car collector web site this car is noted being worth $7,000. Very little needs to be done to this car to make it a $7,000 car. What separates this automobile from most others of the period is the wood-grain side panels, a unique Chrysler Newport option available in April 1968 (with a few cars being produced with this wood trim feature). The side panels, are reminiscent of the famous Chrysler Town and Country wood trimmed cars of the 1940's. This car was shown at the 42nd Annual Street Rod Nationals -Louisville, KY. It received a lot of attention and interest by spectators and other car enthusiasts. It was a fun car to drive while at the show. It is a great ride around town even now.Some things that need attention: AC needs to be converted, The back window leaks and that is why blue tape is around the rear window. There is some rust in this car you can see in the pictures. This car is not perfect as it does have paint chips and small dings.
