Vehicle Detail
Hello. What I have up for auction is a one of a kind 1993 Saleen Clone Twin Turbo. This car has the best of everything. Over $70K has been invested in this car. The entire car was completely re-built from the ground up by Manning Motorsports near Atlanta, GA. Then, Fastlane in Houston, which is very well-respected and specializes in twin turbos, did the fine tuning as well as other great work on the car. The majority of the work was finished in 2008 and I drive this car about once every 2-3 months to keep it in good running condition. Since the car was completely rebuilt, it has approximately 1,000 miles on it. It stays stored away, out of the elements in excellent condition. This is my dream car, but I'm starting a business and need capital to get it going, otherwise, I would hang onto this rare, beautiful, and unique car for the rest of my life. Let's start with THE BODY: It has a slick black paint job with no dents whatsoever. It has a dual turbo vented fiberglass hood, Saleen wing, molded Saleen ground effects, with all the Saleen factory painted graphics and stickers, 18' Speedline Magnesium Saleen wheels. THE INTERIOR: is basically in perfect condition with black carpet, custom Conley leather and Recaro seats, Saleen door panels, Saleen 170 MPH gauges, and all the Saleen badges and brushed aluminum trim pieces in all the right places. The car has the XM satellite radio installed, but the radio is missing. Everything else is there though. The car has a/c, but there is a small leak in one of the lines, so it will blow cold a/c if that small leak is repaired. ENGINE AND DRIVETRAIN: It's a Sportsman block 30 over, Eagle steel rods, Scat crank, Ross XL400 pistons, AFR 205 Stage II heads, custom turbo block main girdle, Canton pan with windage tray, AEM EMS computer management system with AEM EMS Plug and Play (you can control everything with your laptop), Profic B boost controller, Greedy turbo timer, Twin Turbonetic T-56 Turbos with large front mount intercooler, high performance water and oil pump, hand-made Cartec upper intake port matched, 42# injectors, Aeromotive 1000HP fuel system with fuel cell mounted in the place of the original, large aluminum radiator, electric fan, all lines are braided front to rear, World Class T-5 transmission with a Cobra clutch and a Pro 5.0 shifter. The rear end has 355 gears. SUSPENSION AND BRAKES: D&D tubular K member, tubular arms, coilcovers front and rear, Gripp Caster-Camber plates, Koni adjustable shocks, Hotchkins lower control arms, drag radials, 13" two-piece cross-drilled and vented Cobra brakes in front and 12.5" cross-drilled and vented PBR in rear and a BAER proportioning valve. I'm sure this are some things I'm leaving off, but as you can see, this is like no other Mustang you'll ever see. And keep in mind, all of the above has less than 1,000 miles on it. For serious inquiries, I will meet you somewhere to show you the car before you bid, if you would like. I'm going to start the bidding low so it's wide open and whoever is the top bidder, congrats, because you're going to get the slickest car around. If there was ever a head turner, this is the one. It sounds incredible and looks even better! Good luck. You can call me at 832-423-6612 with any questions. On Oct-14-11 at 00:58:41 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello. I went back mostly just to fix some grammatical errors, but when I did, it re-posted the whole description and eBay customer support says that neither of the 2 descriptions can be erased at this point without me taking down the whole ad and starting fresh, which would take away bids, the watch list, etc., and I wouldn't want to do that to you guys. On Oct-14-11 at 19:58:15 PDT, seller added the following information: I can't consider trades for this car because I'm starting a business, so I'm selling this car to help me get my business going. On Oct-20-11 at 08:40:23 PDT, seller added the following information: A little advice for everyone following this car: I put this car in at a very low reserve price because I wanted it to be a real auction and for the highest bidder (the person who wants the car the most), to get it. I love this car, and I want someone to get it who loves it and will take care of it just like I have. There are LOTS of people who are calling me, emailing me, texting me, etc. about this car as you can see by the activity on this page. You can't see it, but there are also a LOT of people who are "Watching" this item which means that they are all planning to put in their "real" bids right at the end of the auction. My advise to everyone who has the same strategy of getting this car: If you really like this car, and you really want it, I would put in your "real" bid well before the end of the auction. The reason I say that is because there is going to be a huge bidding war right at the end of the auction and chances are, all of you who are planning to bid at the last minute are going to bid at the same time and you will miss out on this car just because you thought you were the only one who was going to be sneaky and get the car for a good price right at the last minute. If this happens, time will run out and there will be lots of people who will be disappointed because they really wanted the car, but ended up not getting it because they never got their real bid in. If you go ahead and put in your real bid (or at least very close to it), it will drive away a lot of the people who are going to put in bids at the last minute, but didn't really have a shot at the car because their bids were too low. People still love the Fox Body Mustangs (me included), and it's very difficult to find one that's in great condition, is as unique as this one, and is as fast (twin turbo, etc.). This is why I'm getting so many emails and calls on this car. I'm giving this advise to everyone because I want this car to be in the hands of the right person, so good luck to all of you who truly appreciate this car for all that it is.
