1965 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Convertible 2 Door Coupe Car has been sitting for a few years. Engine ran good when my dad first bought it but he hasn't cranked it since then. Showing 52480.9 on the odometer. Body is in fair-to-rough restorable condition. Bothe rear quarters and front fenders are rusted through at the bottom. The rear rollpan is completely gone. The floorpans ont he passenger's side have been redone and painted over and are solid, but the driver's side floorpans have not been touched and have some rust holoes in them and will need replaced. There is also a rust hole in the bottom of the cargo compartment. The rear deack lid has been detached but the hinges are present. There is surface rust at various places ont he body. The convertible top is ragged and the rear window area is completely gone. The top mechanism is still solid and in good shape, and was demosntrated to be operable when my dad purchased the car 3-4 years ago. the top has been covered by a tarp while it was sitting. The interior was removed by the previous owner in for the restoration he was beginning. As far as we can tell, it is all here, but is in fairly rough shape. Overall, this would make someone an excellent project car. We just don't currently have the time or funds for a project vehicle, and it's not really the year model my Dad wants. It started and ran perfectly after not being started for 6 months. Had to prime the carb and it fired right up and purred like a kitten. Put it in gear and the transmission went into gear smoothly and easily.
