1983 Jeep CJ-7 Laredo 258 Straight 6 5 Speed A true CJ7 Laredo. I acquired this Jeep in July 2007 and have spent a good deal of time and money upgrading it over the past four years. The original paint was midnight blue and was in decent shape. There was some surface rust in the normal pain point areas but nothing horrible. Rot in the floor pans was completely cut out and patch welded then covered with POR15. In preparation for the wrap all minor surface rust was sanded down and covered it with a thick coat of POR 15 to prevent future problems. I wanted something totally different and that’s why I went with the wrap over a repaint. The vehicle wrap was professionally installed. It is a very tough Como-wraps brand 3M Vinyl with a five year warranty. If you are not familiar with vehicle wraps be aware that IT IS NOT PAINT. Since it is not paint you can see seems etc. Any further than 5 feet out and they are virtually impossible to spot by the naked eye. The frame is in very good shape and has no rot.I have put maybe a thousand miles on it since I got it. It has always been stored inside in my garage and driven on nice days a handful of times a year. However, keep in mind this is a 28 year old vehicle so have reasonable expectations! There is quite a bit of money and time invested in this Jeep (way more than what I will ever get out of it). Take a look at some of the modifications made below and do the math. Someone is going to get an absolute steal!
