1943 Ford GPW, not a Willys. DOD 7/9/43. This Jeep is great candidate for a full body off restoration.The body is very solid with the excption of some typical floor, fuel sump and hat channel issues and some rust through at the axe mounting points. As you can see from the pictures, most of the steel is in very good condition. The F marked motor may be the original as it is painted blue (probably when it came out of a local shop) rather than olive drab as a government swap would have been, but I don't know. I have never put a battery in it and tried to start it. The engine does turn over, it has not seized from sitting. The transmission is the correct T84, the body is original as are the frame, seats, etc. The radiator holds water and the fins are in excellent condition. The frame is straight and solid with no front horn distortions, no patches or welded repairs. However a replacement front bumper has been welded on. The outer windshield frame is solid, but the inner frame will need repair or replacement. Has original data plates. Buy Now Price is less than I paid for it a year ago. Actual mileage is unknown, odometer doesn't work. I had intended to do a full restoration myself, however with 2 GPWs, 3 MBs and a custom flat fender I am over extended and out of storage space. e mail questions to jwkamx@yahoo.com.
