Here is my 1971 Pontiac Firebird. I have had this car for 20+ years. Over the years I've spent a lot of time and money on this car. Well the last 4 years it has been sitting in my enclosed trailer because I've been working and spending on my supercharged BBC corvette (not included in this auction haha). This car has original engine and transmission and I upgraded the rear end to a 4 wheel disk posi with 3.93 gears. The engine. 400 pontiac was rebuild the summer I stopped driving it 4 years ago. Bored .030 over with Keith Black pistons Solid lifter cam and lifters Edelbrock tourqer manifold, Barry Grant 750 double pumper with mechanical secondries and 4 corner idle. 100 amp chrome alt. HEI distributor SS valves Double roller timing chain. Chrome valve covers and a crazy expensive custom air cleaner see pics ( i didn't want to have to lose the hood for the aircleaner) Be cool radiator and Flex a lite electric fans ( Radiator was put in when i re-did the motor) Headers are headmen with 3 inch dual exhaust to the rear axle with downspouts. Transmission 400 turbo automatic This has a 3500 rpm stall converter with a transmission brake and a external trans cooler with fan on temp switch. (I think I spent $2,000 on the transmission alone) B&M ratchet shifter line lock on front brakes. Car stereo was rocking years ago I spend a few thousand on it back when but does have a couple issues that will need to be corrected for it to work properly again. I'm not selling the stereo I am selling the car but just want to be honest As you can see I've spent a lot of time and money on this.I hate to see this car sit and go bad so that is why I am selling it. The paint and interior are respectful but would realy make this a real nice car. Over the years I've done springs shocks all new strearing components frame ties new rims and drag slicks. I am sure there is more that i've done but this is the major stuff I've done. The body is pretty solid and the floors are pretty good for being 40 years old. This is not a perfect show car but is a nice street car with a lot of potential. This has been sitting for 4 years and only ran to move around and in and out of my trailer (need room in my garage). It seems like its running rich now. Probably need some carb work or a set of plugs. I dont havethe time to play with this so it is being sold as is condition. It will need some TLC in order for the winning bidder to drive it again. Feel free to ask me any questions. This car is for fun and is not intended to be a daily driver.
