Up for auction is a 1997 Audi A4 Quattro 2.8 with 179768 miles. I hope I can be clear to all viewers of this vehicle. We loved this car so much that we put ALOT of money into recent repairs of this vehicle. The goal was to have it safe and worthy of a MA inspection sticker. Unfortunately, It did not pass Emissions. This vehicle only has two trouble codes that show that it only needs an 02 sensor. When I repaired the exhaust, I found that one of the CATS is hollowed out meaning that it needs one of those as well. Doesn't sound like much, but, after all the repairs, I decided to let someone else finish it or use it for the extremely valuable parts it contains. Repairs are as follows: All new top end motor components including fresh head gaskets, head bolts, manifold and valve cover gaskets, full tune up (wires/plugs), and air filter. The heads were reconditioned to be like NEW. Installed new MAF sensor. New radiator as well. On to the chassis. Pain in the neck repairs like right front upper control arms. All the brakes are replaced including front rotors. BOTH rear wheel hub bearings were replaced with the right side trailing arm newly installed and new ABS sensors. Anyone who knows Audi knows that this a not a small job. The Exhaust was repaired in a few areas so that it is quiet and solid. After all this, I drove the this vehicle to Georgia with absolutely no problems. It rides beautiful and runs quite nice. I do believe the water pump is making noise or it might be the belt tensioner. Obviously, all the repairs far outweigh the value of this vehicle. All the power options work such as heated seats, windows, power seats, sunroof, and power locks. The doors shut real nice. The seats are OK, while the rug is not that pretty in my opinion. All the components in the trunk are like new. There is an aftermarket Amplifier in the trunk that powers the Alpine radio.
