Vehicle Detail
I have decided to put my 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 8 up for sale. The car is an SSL so it has the black leather interior and power sunroof. I originally bought the car from an insurance auction here in Georgia. The car was hit in the passenger side rear quarter, and the car did have a salvage title. I had the car professionally repaired and then inspected by the state highway patrol and now has a rebuilt title. When I recieved the car I dropped the oil pan and pulled the valve cover to check the condition of the engine, my findings were astonishing. he odometer said 128,000 miles yet the inside of the motor looked brand new. The head even had HKS cams, ARP headstuds, and unknown springs and retainers.I have daily driven this car for over a year now and inthat time have put around 17000 miles on it and it has never let me down. In fact I just did a 750 mile road trip from Ohio and I got 28 MPG during that road trip. The car now has 146,000 on it, when most people see the car they cannot believe it has that many miles. The front bumper does have quite a few rock chips, but that is expected for a car with this many miles. But most flaws in the exterior cannot be seen from 10 feet or even 5 feet away. I only notice most when I am waxing the car. The car was just clay barred this spring and the carbon fiber on the wing was painted black be cause it was faded. The whole turbo kit was installed less than 2,000 Miles ago and the turbo was rebuilt by PTE at that time. The car does have a Half-radiator but still Retains A/C. It does still have a thermostat and does not over heat, even sitting in 100 degree plus heat in stop and go traffic in Savannah. The car has been street tuned on pump for 25 psi. this turbo really needs 30+ psi to wake up. The car is running the stock ecu with speed density. The interior of the car is perfect. The exterior of the car does have rock chips on the front bumper from all the miles. Where the passenger side rear quarter panel was fixed, a crack in the paint or clear has developed just recently, see picture. Also I have just noticed a small oil leak (1 to 2 drops in a 24 hour period), it seems to be coming from the oil pan.
