This blue Pony with white top is in excellent condition (inspected and being driven). 1967 GTA model _ 351 Windsor engine (put in by previous owner; originally with a 289) _ 3-speed automatic transmission _ Front disc brakes _ Manual steering (no power) _ Manual top (very easy to put up and down) I bought this car to do a much dreamed road trip around the country and now that the trip is over, I need to sell it as it would be too costly for me to keep it. Before hitting the road the car went through the NY state inspection (ONLY 2 and a half months ago!), so you can pick up the car and drive it home. It is worth noting that when I bought this car, it was a local driver and now you can take it anywhere, anytime. Anything that could go wrong with his car was taken care of by Mustang specialists or classic car performance specialists before or during my trip to make sure the car was always reliable and in perfect driving condition. The winner of this auction will become the proud owner of a very solid car! I bought the car because it had (and still has): _ A solid body _ An interior in GREAT condition _ A good engine _ A perfect top _ A modern stereo _ Everything was working and the car was inspected and drivable Also, as it is expected before and during a long road trip, I had to do repairs (some required; some preventive) that were carried out by classic Mustang specialists often recommended by local Mustang Clubs. Basically, anything that could have gone wrong with this car was duly taken care of by knowledgeable people with quality parts. This is all the work done in the past 2 months: _ Peltronix ignition (to replace points) _ Overhaul of the cooling system, including new radiator, cap and hoses, new fan, shroud, pulley and belt, new aluminum water pump, new thermostat and housing (all done by East End Restorations on Long Island, a Shelby specialist) _ New stainless fuel line from pump to carburetor (East End Restorations) _ New oil pump (high-volume) and gauge sending unit (at Mustang Restorations in Chicago – http://mustangrestoration.net/ – they inspected the engine from below while changing the pump and mentioned that is was in very good condition) _ New steering box (Mustang Restorations) _ New front shock mounts (Mustang Restorations) _ New distributor shaft (the gear in the original shaft started spinning) _ New turn signal switch (at RDW in Reno – http://www.rdwauto.com/) _ New rear springs, shocks and mounts (Sacramento Mustangs – http://www.sacramento-mustang.com/) _ New brake master cylinder gasket (bought at Sacramento Mustangs) _ New spark plug wires _ Tuning minimally adjusted (timing, idle speed; at R Mustangs in San Francisco) _ New starter motor and solenoid (at Mustang Service Center in Phoenix – http://www.mustangservicecenter-az.com/) _ New exhaust manifold gaskets and bolts (at Bouchillon Performance Engineering in Charleston – http://www.bouchillonperformance.com/) _ Oil changed every 3,000 miles YOU ARE BIDDING FOR A RELIABLE CAR READY TO ENJOY AS-IS! The only defects that I could notice in this car are not mechanical. There are cosmetic details in the paint job. The biggest defect I am aware of is a spot, the size of a quarter, where paint has been scratched off (see picture below). Besides that, the paint job is in good condition, but it is not show quality; it is a few years old; it still shines but upon close inspection you can see small details here and there. Again, the biggest defect is shown in the picture. I am describing the car to the best of my abilities and I am happy to send more pictures and answer questions to make sure you bid with confidence. Terms and conditions: _ The car is sold AS-IS with no warranty _ The winning bidder is responsible for 1) Contacting the seller within 24 hours of winning the auction 2) Depositing USD 500 through PayPal within 24 hours of winning the auction to secure the car; failure to do so will result in the car being offered to the second highest bidder OR re-listed (please reach out and communicate promptly to avoid problems) 3) Arranging pick-up of the car in the New York area 4) Paying the remaining balance during pick up; we will meet at a TD Bank where the winning bidder will pay with cashiers check or cash that will be deposited right there into my account; once all is clear, I will sign the title over 5) Making sure all documents needed to register the car are complete and signed during the pick up _ I reserve the right to terminate the auction early if I get a good local offer On Sep-28-11 at 20:47:11 PDT, seller added the following information: After a few questions, another picture of a smaller cosmetic defect was added. This is a bit of rust in the rear right fender, where it meets the passenger door. Additionally, pictures of the undercarriage (driver and passenger sides floor, and under gas tank) have also been included showing that it is in good, solid condition. I hope this helps you to bid with confidence. On Sep-30-11 at 08:43:31 PDT, seller added the following information: Again, due to questions from potential bidders I have posted two videos on YouTube. In one, you can see the car idling and in the engine shots you will be able to notice some of the recent work in the engine: _ wiring in the coil showing the car has peltronix and no points _ new aluminum water pump, radiator, hoses, fan and pulley _ new fuel line _ new oil gauge sending unit _ new front shock mounts (red) _ new solenoid (grey) _ new bolts in the exhaust manifolds placed after the gasket replacement http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zZc5nTj0Wc In the other one you can see the car starting, idling and running at 70 in the highway. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APG424-x8x8 Happy bidding!
