This is a very cool wagon and has huge fins, probably the biggest ever put on a wagon. This car is a great candidate for a project and has a solid body for restoration. The car is complete and looks awesome standing still. This year had the lowered roofline which makes it look chopped from the factory. These wagons are great when restored and you can fit the whole family in it. Here are all the details. LINK TO MORE PICTURES: http://s942.photobucket.com/albums/ad267/tutheck5/1960%20plymouth%20suburban/ MECHANICAL This wagon appears to have the original 318 V-8 with 2-barrel carb. It has the pushbutton auto transmission. The engine is complete, but is not running. I have not tried to turn it over or get it running. The radiator is out of it and the water pump is off. Radiator, condensor, 2-water pumps, pulleys, brackets, a/c pump, p/s pump etc. is included. The wheels in the pics are not included. It comes with stock type 15" rims that are painted red and have decent tires that are usable. The car has power steering and I believe the brakes are non-power. BODY This car still holds it's original buttercup yellow paint, with oyster white cove and roof. The body on the wagon is very solid for a project and the exterior is nearly rust free. The only rust spot on the outside of the car is behind the passenger side rear wheel. This is down low and will be easy to repair with sheetmetal. The foot areas of the floorpan are soft and have rust. They will need replaced. The bottom of the spare tire tub is also rusted and basically gone. These are the usual areas that rust in these cars due to water collecting. The rest of the body is rust free. This includes, but is not limited to: Drivers rear quarter, doors, roof, jams, rockers, floor supports, tailgate, tailgate jam, pillars, front fenders, inner fenders, firewall, dash, header, hood, cowl, etc. etc. The glass on the car is in good shape with the exception of the windshield, which is cracked. The hood hinges are not on the car. They are included though and look to be in good shape. Bolts are included also. I don't know why they were taken off. The body has the usual dings that you'll see on any unrestored 1960. The roof is perfect. Drivers door is bent up on the bottom a little and the hinges need adjusted but it still shuts. I'm sure a bodyman can fix it pretty easily. The paint looks original with no signs of any collision damage ever and no bondo. Overall, this is a great body to start with for a resto but does looks good enough to drive now. INTERIOR The interior has the usual wear for a car this old. Dashpad is gone. Front seat has major wear but the springs feel fine. Rear seat usable for a low budget driver. Door panels decent. Headliner in it, but falling down like usual. You could use the interior with a new carpet and front seat cover. Steering wheel is very cool and the car also has a separate speedometer "pod" that is really neat. OVERALL This is a real cool wagon and will be sweet when restored. These old wagons are all cool in my opinion, but the ones with huge fins look the best. Thanks and happy bidding. THE CAR IS DESCRIBED AS I SEE IT. I TAKE A LOT OF TIME TO GET THE DETAILS AND IT IS UNLIKELY THAT I MISSED ANYTHING. THE CAR IS SOLD AS-IS. Powered by eBay Turbo Lister The free listing tool.
