Vehicle Detail
1964 Ford Galaxie Country Sedan Big Block Wagon Project Car Wagons are hot and getting hotter! Offered here is a very solid California car that I had shipped to PA in 2002. It had 2 previous California owners. I have the original black plates and paperwork. With a little work, it would make a great driver and Saturday night cruiser. Or it’s an excellent base for a full restoration. The Guardsman Blue paint and blue interior are original. The rear seat back actually still has the original plastic cover. The car has no rust. The roof and hood are faded to primer in spots, typical of West Coast cars. The front and rear bumpers are nice (rear is usually rusted out on '64 Fords and are expensive to replace). It’s equipped with power steering, automatic transmission and manual rear window The original 352 engine is not in the car but is included. It ran, but had over 100k. Also included is a complete, low-mile 1964 390 motor that, according to the North Carolina guy I bought it from, has 39,000 miles. I did pull the heads and pan and it appears to be as he described it. The car needs brakes, an exhaust system and paint. The passenger side rear door has a dent and the side trim on door has been screwed on and will need to be replaced. The door can easily be repaired, but the car also comes with a nice rust-free, same-color door that I had shipped here from South Dakota. I also have replacement door chrome. In addition, the car comes with: a new carpet set (not installed); new door locks & keys; a new dash pad cover (not installed); interior paint; and miscellaneous chrome trim. The car has nice dog dish hubcaps and painted wheels, and a good set of full wheel covers go with it, as well. I have too many cars, no time to finish this one and I need the garage space. If you’re interested, I encourage you to come look at the car. I try to be brutally honest with my descriptions, but everyone sees things through different eyes. This is an excellent candidate for a full restoration, or would make someone a really nice cruiser with paint and a little work The fine print: Winning bidder will send $500 non-refundable payment via PayPal within 24 hours of the auction close. If the deposit is not received within 24 hours, the car will be offered to the next highest bidder. Balance due in cash before the car leaves the premises. Car sold as is/where is, but I might deliver within 125 miles of zip code 19343. You can call me with questions, but the reserve will not be disclosed, so please don’t ask.
