I have to re-list this item because the Local buyer reneged on his offer (came to my house with LESS than he committed to and tried to bargain it down, and had personal check which is a no, no). I did have an opportunity today to replace both the water pump and thermostat, and this baby will go anywhere with no problems, now. It is a wonderful little car, and that's unfortunately why I am selling after investing so much...it is too small for me and the family. But, a true gas saver. I am letting the auction go to the end, as some were upset I ended the other one early...but, remember Cash is King and if a local comes to the house with cash, I will ended it (just to let you know).I have copies of all the work that has been done on this car, just so you know how reliable this car can and will be for some time to come. Not everyone has the $30000 for a new Hybrid to get this mileage... For sale is my 1998 Chevy Metro LSI daily commuter. It has Hot heat and Cold A/C. The tires are 85-90%, and almost like new. I have put $2200 into getting this into top shape for my daily use (have receipts to verify, including today's). I have replaced the ECM, Junction box, relays and fuses. The Belts, Spark Plugs, Ignition Switch and Wires, Fuel Pump, Strainer Sensors and Relays have been replaced. I have changed the oil every 3500 miles. The engine and hood compartment are very clean and show very little signs wear or repair. It has very little to no fluid leakage for a car this age, and it is in very good condition as the Car Fax rates it ABOVE average. It consistently gets 32 City and 40MPG Hwy and is a great work or student commuter car. It has low miles on it. The engine and transmission run strong (I guess the only drawback is it doesn't have power steering, as some models in '98 didn't). It has some scratches and dents (left passenger rear quarter panel have a couple of smidgens of rust from prior owner's brush with their mailbox, and a little hail damage to the body from being outside...in pictures it is very hard to even see them, but that is it). The mirror adjusting arms are broken but the mirrors are adjustable manually just the same. The interior is in good shape and the vinyl is pliable and not cracking, but vibrant and just a little hang on the headliner but not obtrusive to the eye. The Kelly Blue Book is $2800 for this model...but if you've checked on eBay you have seen them go MUCH higher because of their reliability and MPG. Their is no major body damage or frame damage, and NO RUST to the car underneath or support. Buyer is responsible for pick up or shipping arrangements prior to picking the car up and paying for it ahead of time of shipping. I can make the arrangements with the shipper for you, but you will have to ADD that to the final price and pay in full before I ship it to you. The title is clear, not sure why it is on Car Fax report, unless it had to do with my transaction with the prior owner. I have set the Reserve based on the KB price range so bid accordingly. I will sell to the highest bidder...unless I sell it to a LOCAL. No bidders with less than a Three (3) 100% rating will be allowed to finish the auction...You must contact me prior to bidding to get on the Board. I will want to clean it a little bit before pick up as this is my Daily Driver right now, so it has some dirt and the mileage is going to vary slightly to what I have in the description...I included additional information as I have had many questions. The today mileage is at 78300 and I will try and have the carpet shampooed prior to pick-up so I will need a day or so prior to pick up.
