1971 DATSUN 240Z Clean and tastefully modified 1971 Datsun 240Z featuring a 1979 Datsun 280Z block and 5 speed manual transmission. Painted a Chrysler Silver over a straight and rust free body with a matching aftermarket front spoiler that gives the car a sportier look and works well to fill out the body lines with the 15x7 Panasport wheels. The car sits low to the ground thanks to a set of Tockico Illumina Adjustable struts and springs and all of the bushings have been replaced with a polyurethane kit where applicable giving this 240Z a tight firm ride. Notable exterior features include smooth chrome bumpers with no rubber, custom clear side markers, H4 headlight housings with Klight 8000k headlight kit, and yellow marker lights. Other recent work includes a new ignition switch assembly, starter, Mallory electronic distributor & ballast resistor, MSD coil and wires, brake master vac, brake master cylinder, front calipers, clutch slave cylinder, steel braided slave line, radiator with dual electric fans, alternator, voltage regulator, headlight and signal switches, steering rack bushings, steering coupler kit, and many more small items. Even after all of the aforementioned items I also replaced a number of other items to the tune of nearly $2,000 and also had both carburetors rebuilt and tuned. The car drives great now with no issues and even has a electric fan controller installed so the dual "pusher" fans come on at 180 degrees. The fairly original black interior is in very good condition with no rips or tears and the paint only has a few minor rock chips up front. The interior is complete and all of the gauges are in working condition except for the oil pressure gauge and the clock. If you really need these items fixed I can look into having it done before you take delivery. The only noticeable un-original items include the steering wheel, shift knob, and dash cap. Inside the cabin the car also features a Alpine CD player with custom mounted 6x9 speakers in the rear hatch. I am tempted to keep this car after all the work, but would love for it to go to another Z enthusiast. Out of State buyers & International buyers welcome!
