Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This is a 1972 VW super beetle that spent most of its life in California and Texas preserving its totally rust free floor pan and nearly perfect shell. The shell had one 2" x 2"x 4" long rust hole in front of both rear wheels (quarter areas) that were cut out and replaced with new metal that was seam welded in and then sealed inside and out. This beetle was completely disassembled bolt by bolt and reassembled using all new bolts. The pan was sand blasted, sealed, then raptor urethane bed liner was used on underside of pan. The top of the pan was coated in black urethane paint ensuring a long life. The shell was soda blasted inside and out, repairs and modifications made, then inside and out of shell was coated with a urethane bare metal primer and then coated with a urethane base coat and clear coat, buffed to a wonderful luster with longevity in mind. Undersides of fiberglass body kit coated with raptor bed liner to help against stones from damaging parts. The suspension was totally rebuilt using new urethane bushings, ball joints, struts in the front, springs, tie rod ends and bars, steering gear box, and a custom upper strut stabilizer bar added for handling. The rear suspension has new air shocks installed. New Eagle rims in which the fronts are 15 inch by 7inch with new center caps and lug nuts. The front tires are Mastercraft avenger GT. P195/60/R15. The rear rims are 15inch by 10 inch with new center caps and lug nuts. The rear tires are Mastercraft avenger GT. P265/50/R15. Both front and rear tires are brand new. This beetle was professionally aligned, both front and rear. The black accent colors on the car were also done in raptor bed liner. Also has new windshield and one piece door glass. California look window moldings, door felts, speedometer cable, new LED interior dash lighting and cab lighting, all weather strips and moldings, door switches, window tint and glove box liner. Cab mounted fire extinguisher, rebuilt transmission with 4:11 gearing. New axles, CV joints, and bearings, urethane shift bushings, and transmission mounts. Also has short throw shifter with reverse lockout. Remanufactured 1641 engine. New dual carb setup, engine tins, external oil cooler with K&N racing filter. Also with 6" high output electric oil cooler fans, stinger exhaust system, aluminum finned valve covers, and collapsible push rod tubes and high output alternator. New windshield wiper motor, new blades, electric windshield washer pump. The trunk area is finished with custom fitted carpet and felt. New twin air horns and new battery relocated into trunk area.
