Vehicle Detail

I am a serious collector of mint low mileage German cars and have decided to place this beautiful and rare 1991 Audi 100 up for sale. I purchased this car last year with just 15k actual miles from the son of the original elderly owner who drove the car approximately 1,000 miles per year until recently. It was garaged day and night since new and is in incredible original condition. It was maintained by the Audi dealer most of it's life with stamped service intervals in the owners manual. The car is equipped with a 2.3L 5-cylinder engine, 4-speed automatic transmission, sunroof, PW, PL, cruise control, AM/FM cassette, auto climate control, power mirrors, cloth seats with lumbar adjustment and many more features. I will do my best to describe the actual condition in detail as this is a 20 year old automobile. Mechanical: The mechanical condition of this Audi is simply superb. I have owned many type 44 Audis and this car is 100% mechanically correct from top to bottom. There are absolutely no repairs of any kind to be made. The car starts runs and drives precisely as new and all electrical features work perfectly. The air conditioning blows ice cold and has never needed recharging since new retaining the superior R12 refrigerant. The oil has been changed religiously through the life of the car and the engine appears new inside the valve cover and uses nor leaks absolutely no oil. Since my purchase I have completed the following service items: oil and filter, transmission oil and filter, differential oil change, coolant flush, power steering fluid change (correct mineral oil), brake fluid flush, new bosch plugs, rotor and cap, air filter, 4 new Bridgestone radials. Remarkably the car had all four factory 1991 production Dunlop tires with good tread when I purchased last year. The engine bay has never been sprayed or cleaned and looks virtually new as the car was never driven in winter conditions. The undercarriage looks new with all original exhaust parts and no corrosion anywhere. There are absolutely no leaks of any kind. This car could be driven cross country with no worries. The sunroof, windows, cruise control, radio and all else perform as new. Interior: Being stored indoors it's entire life and only driven by one person the interior simply looks new. There is no UV damage, odors, fading or wear of any kind. The seats, carpet, door panels and dash look simply new and gorgeous. The wood inlays are flawless. The only interior flaw to mention in the headliner has detached and sagged in the rear area. In order to maintain the originality of the unique material I chose to cement the detached area back in place, however it will need to be replaced at some point and has a bumpy appearance in the rear seat area. Exterior: Being driven by an elder owner there are minor imperfections, however the overall body and paint appearance is quite exceptional for the vehicle age. The original paint is very glossy and has no sun damage, however, the side panels and doors have some etching of the clearcoat as the car was driven through car washes periodically. The car has never been in any accidents but did incur some scrapes on the front fenders while backing out of the garage. At some point the two front fenders and hood were repainted due to these scrapes. No fenders or body panels were ever removed and the paint quality is very good and matches the factory paint nicely. The car had a minor 2 inch ding on the right front fender when I purchased. I used paintless ding removal and touched up the area. It's not perfect but not terribly noticeable either. There are 2 small dings just under the tail lamps above the bumper. The rest of the body is very straght with excellent trim and perfect glass. The alloy wheels look very nice with only a couple of areas with minow curbing scrapes. 1991 was the last year for the venerable 5-cylinder line of Audi cars. For those unfamiliar with the type 44 cars, the later models were some of the most durable, reliable and well crafted Audis ever and are known to last many hundreds of thousands of miles without major repairs. This car cruises at any speed effortlessly with noise and refinement levels similar to or better than some modern cars. All factory books, keys and service records are included.
