CUTLASS 442 WHEELS ALSO AVALIABLE NO RESERVE NO RESERVE - - - WILL BE SOLD TO THE HIGH BIDDER !!!!!!!!!!!!!! SURVIVOR CAR 1970 OLDSMOBILE Ninty Eight 455 V-8 Convertible FULLY LOADED !!! It has been a local car since new. This car was special ordered all loaded up and in Dark green metallic and a Parchment interior. LOADED !!! LOADED !!! LOADED!!! Factory A/C and all !!!!!!!!!!!! This is an UNRESTORED car that was left behind by an elderly gentleman after his passing 20 years ago. Yes, this car sat in his garage for 20 years after his death. His wife ended up going into a rest home recently so the house and car was sold. The family did do a few things to get the car running. One of which was a New battery. The car does start right up and run now but not great. I know the gas in the tank is old so it is presently running on a bottle under the hood. I’m sure it needs some work after sitting all those years. The motor sounds good without knocks but doesn’t run smooth. The car will need some TLC to get it roadworthy. The brakes work but it has a low brake pedal. I have driven the car around the block. It seams to shift fine. This will make a great LUXURY ragtop for someone !!!! As you look at this car you can see it has no signs of previous rot repair. The panels look to be rot free. Some of the paint looks like it could be original to me as it has some fading like the old paints did. I was going to wax it to bring up more shine but then figured people would rather see it as it sits. The chrome looks decent except for the front bumper that should be changed. The underside of the car looks original and appears very solid. The frame and floors have scale on them here and there but look as they could be cleaned up alittle and then some black paint put on them . The trunk floor has two small holes about the size of a golf ball, one in each corner left and right as pictured. The rest of the trunk floor is surface rust and should clean up well. The “GM” bumper jack and spare is also in the trunk. The interior shows some age but still looks great for the age. The front seat has some seam splits but other than that the rest of the inside is still presentable for 41 years old. The dash show BEAUTIFUL !!!!!! HERE’S THE AMAZING PART ,,,,,,,,, Most all of the power equipment works on the car. The Power windows work, The 6 way Power seat works,,, The wipers work ,, The interior lights work,,, The original AM-FM radio works, as well as the rear seat speaker also works,,,,,,, The Green “cold” light on the dash even works. The outside lights look to work. The Key buzzer even works. The car also has “Speed warning” inside the speedometer. The horn and emergency brake are inop. The power convertible top works well. It will need a canvas as I believe it currently has the original top still on it. . THE ORIGINAL DASH CLOCK EVEN WORKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A 300. DEPOSIT IS DUE IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING AUCTION END. Balance due within 5 days of auction end. A check is fine but it must clear my bank before car or paperwork leaves. Some checks may take as much as a week or two to clear. Cash if picking up in person. This will make a fun project. Do a full restoration or fix what you want and drive it like it is. Be sure this car meets all your expectations before BIDDING. It is not new or perfect. Please come inspect the car Before bidding. If this is not possible an outside inspection co.can come and inspect it for you. I believe ebay offers such an inspection. Vehicle sold as is condition. This description is mearly my opinion. Connecticut uses the registration and Title as one. There is a section on the back side for ownership transfer. NO RESERVE ,,,,,, NO RESERVE ,, NO RESERVE ,,,,,,,,, WILL BE SOLD TO THE HIGH BIDDRR !!!!!!!!!On Sep-18-11 at 05:49:50 PDT, seller added the following information: Thanks for all the interest. It is a sweet ride and definetly a rare one being a 2 door convertible with these colors + options. I had a couple ask about a paint line under the drivers mirror in picture one. It must be a shadow as I don't see this in person. ThanksOn Sep-20-11 at 17:10:35 PDT, seller added the following information: I HAVE HAD A FEW EMAILS ASKING ABOUT OUTER BODY ROT REPAIRS. AS FAR AS I CAN SEE I DON'T BELIEVE IT HAS EVER HAD ANY. THE LOWER PANELS SHOW NO SIGN OF EVER BEING FIXED AND SINCE IT HAS BEEN IN THE GARAGE WITHOUT BEING OUT IN ALL OF 20 YEARS I WOULD SAY IT PROBABLY HAS NEVER HAD ANY.On Sep-22-11 at 15:36:39 PDT, seller added the following information: I HAVE HAD AN EMAIL ASKING JUST HOW THE CAR RUNS. I EVEN HAD SOMEONE ASK IF IT WOULD MAKE A 500 MILE TRIP HOME. AS I WROTE IN THE LISTING IT HAS SAT FOR THE LAST 20 YEARS. I TOOK IT AROUND THE BLOCK BUT IT DOESN'T RUN GREAT. IT RUNS ENOUGH TO GO ON A TRAILER TO IT'S NEW HOME. THE OLD OWNERS GOT IT RUNNING (WHAT THEY DID I'M NOT SURE) BUT WILL NEED WORK TO BE RIGHT. WITH THE AGE I WOULD SAY A FULL RESTORATION OR REBUILD IS WHAT THE CAR DESERVES. THAT CAN BE DETERMINED BY THE NEW OWNER HOW FAR THEY WANT TO GO WITH IT. YOU JUST CAN'T ASK A CAR THATS BEEN SITTING 20 YEARS TO UP AND HOP ON THE FREEWAY. On Sep-26-11 at 13:29:49 PDT, seller added the following information: YES, I WAS TOLD THAT 98K IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE CORRECT MILEAGE. On Sep-27-11 at 03:32:54 PDT, seller added the following information: I DO HAVE THE NAMES OF A COUPLE TRANSPORT CO.'S FOR ANYONE INTERESTED. THANKS
