Up for sale is my 1971 Monte Carlo that I have owned since about 1978. It has been in storage since about 1980. The engine and transmission were rebuit about 15 years ago by me personally and was rebuilt to stock specs except for an aftermarket cam. Engine has been run periodically over the years and one known problem is that the front seal on the transmission leaks. The car starts and runs strong. I had the intention of restoring the car, but time keeps slipping away. I have instead decided to allow someone else with more time than me the chance to restore it back to it's former glory. The car is very restorable. It has a 350 4 barrel with a 350 turbo hydromatic auto. I think the rear gear is 2.73, but unsure. They are stock and barely at idle when cruising down the road. The car has black bucket interior with auto on the floor and console with the horseshoe shifter and A/C. The front seats were recovered and are virtually new yet. It also has the tach guage package, rear defrost, tilt steering, and currently has a vintage pioneer cassette deck in the dash. The original jack is still in the trunk. 15" ralley wheels with center caps and trim rings. What the car needs body wise is inner and outer lower quarters. The trunk is not rusted out but is beginning to bubble near the inner wheelwells. The vinyl top will need to be replace and there is rust I believe under the top on the lower part of the rear window. There are dings here and there but nothing too major. All things considered, this is a very solid and restorable car. I will hate to sell it but I am not getting any closer to starting this project. The car is very complete and has not been cut up or modded. I also have the clear title for the car. More pictures can emailed if someone is seriouly interested. No warranty and what you see is what you get, but if you are looking for a great project car, this will be a good place to start. Mileage currently showing is 20581. That is 120,581 Question was asked as to which tach was in the car. I add a picture of it to show it has a 5000rpm redline.
