He never got around to restoring it but did have the engine rebuilt and drove it for a while in the seventies, before having carburerator and camshaft gear trouble. He talked often about it and everything that I remember him telling me about the vehicle, I have included in the listing, so please be patient and understand that I know very little about Model A's. I will do my best to respond to any questions in the most honest fashion, as I would appreciate that if I were the potential buyer. The car is more than 80 years old, so there is no warranty, neither expressed nor implied. There is rusting on the body, all the way through in some spots, as I have indicated in some of the photos. The frame is solid with some surface rust. The vehicle is up for auction as a restoration project. It is my understanding that this is quite a rare find for a restoration vehicle, because so much of the car is there, original, current and clear title, frame was never chopped up or altered in any way (many of these succumbed in the hot-rod era). I have been told that for it's age, it is in good shape and would be a great restoration. The title is 100% clear and clean!!! I pull no punches and my feedback speaks for itself. I'm going for 100% honesty here. The vehicle was last driven in the 70's. My Dad said " it needs a new carburator, battery and camshaft gear and it will run."and "It's all there-a complete vehicle, all original". Please note that the winning bidder will need to probably flatbed the car for transport. The tires are all dryrotted and flat. I had to inflate them to get the car out of my garage for the pics. I'm not in a position to restore this vehicle but I respect the idea that these cars are part of our history and need to be displayed and appreciated. If you want to see video of this car to get a better idea of it's condition, It's on you tube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4B4e6roPbs I had a buyer but things fell through and now I'm looking forward to selling this model A to make room for my plow truck in the garage. I welcome serious buyers to inspect vehicle per appointment, by messaging me here on Ebay by choosing the "contact seller" option. Feel free to send me any questions as well. I do my best to give a response in a timely manner, and I check my message box on Ebay twice a day. Please, don't send me your number, ask for a call, or ask for my number. Sorry, but I have had problems with doing this in the past and my wife has asked me not to (late calls, calls after auctions asking me if item is still available, etc.). My contact information will be provided promptly to the winning bidder (phone number and email). No shipping: Local pickup only. I must insist on $800 down, non-refundable within 24 hours of auctions end from the winning bidder, with the remainder due at pickup, in the form of cash, cashiers check or certified check. Vehicle must be picked up within one weeks time of the end of this auction. Deposit must be paypal, cashiers check or certified check, overnighted to me.Thanks for looking and good luck! -Mike-
