Available for sale by 3rd Generation Trans Am Enthusiast owner is a Beautiful Inside/Out 1987 Pontiac Trans Am CLEAN TITLE,,,,, LETTING GO OF THIS CAR IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT FOR ME, AND I APOLOGIZE TO THOSE WHO WERE WATCHING HER BEFORE I GOT COLD FEET AND DELETED LISTING... Undercarriage in excellent RUST FREE condition! Hard to believe but SHE IS EXTREMELY DIRTY IN PICTURES!!! Must see to appreciate! I am not going lower then starting bid, which I have reduced!!! Especially when wheel & tire package cost $1,500 alone and have 0 miles on them, and I have reciepts!! VERY CLEAN CAR!!!! Trans Am will be coming with a complete 5spd Clutch Assembly complete with Clutch Pedal, Brake Pedal, Brake Booster, 5spd Master cylinder & 5spd crossmember. If I don't sell it, unfortunately will be parting out making double if not more then what I am asking, plus keeping my custom rim package. Hate to part it out but I have owned 10 of them & know I could easily make alot more then asking price parting her out. I am constantly getting offers for parts off her that others can't find. I have done it before, just never this excellent of condition. It will hurt really bad to part out! These are the best parts I have had through the last decade of collecting, not to mention one of the nicest chassis I have come across! This is a rare opportunity for another 3rd Gen Lover. We have owned 10 3rd Gen Trans Am. Through the years we kept the best of the best for parts & options. After finally obtaining one that by far exceeded our expectations & had everything we could desire for her, our lives have taken an unexpected turn. Unfortunately we are forced to part with her. So listed for one lucky person, is our 87 Trans Am. She is a jaw dropper. EVERY person we proudly show her off to or a picture of her to, is left speechless. You will too once you see her! Primary reason why letting her go is so damn hard! T-Tops, GM Trans Am Blackouts on front, 140MPH Speedometer RARE 8k tach, Gold Phoenix Taillight Center & 2 tone black interior 4 piece rear are just some of those desired options! Full Details below: Motor In T/A: LG4 4 barrel 5.0. The motor runs & drives but would not be suitable to drive daily or any kind of distance without some work. It does start right up everytime. Car will need to be transported to new owners destination. Everytime we start it, runs & drives, no issues. Could possibly just need tune-up, never looked at it enough due to expecting to replace it with crate 383 motor. Installed LG4 Motor has no knocks or no pings. Slight valve tap. Check engine light is on, don’t know why never cared. Transmission In T/A: Automatic 700R4. Transmission does shift through every gear (reverse can be difficult sometimes) & was replaced when we purchased with a used transmission. While the transmission is currently in working order it does not operate as it should, it does not feel too strong & I would not put stock into it. In addition, while sitting in garage, its leaking Transmission fluid. Never looked into why its leaking. Could possibly be pan or something else. Transmission replacement & rebuild is recommended. Possibly transmission could be saved but I don't know. Exterior: Body of Trans Am is in EXCELLENT CONDITION. GM Trans Am Blackouts over front marker lights. From doors to front clip & all ground effects parts are off of Trans Am Race Car with 23K original miles on them. The car was only ever driven on track, therefore parts are all like new. Rear ¼'s are original to the chassis. While it is not very noticeable, the color shade is slightly off a bit due to this fact. NO RUST except for a small 1inch spot of surface rust just beginning above driver side rear wheel well (can be seen in pics). CHASSIS IS MINT. Refer to pictures of gutted interior. While it is not cleaned in picture (never intended to sell) there is absolutely NO RUST ON UNDERCARRIAGE, FLOOR BOARDS, or ANYWHERE ELSE! All ground effects are attached with NO CRACKS or missing tabs. Rear spoiler is OEM but in excellent condition. Minimal wear. Do not know if t-tops leak or not, never been in the rain & never will be in the rain! Hard to find & highly sought after GOLD Phoenix CENTER In between taillights. Car has some minor wear, dings, pings, scratches here & there from being over 20 years old. Minor fist sized dent by rear ¼ driver side light. Some paint chipped on front bumper. Can be seen in pictures. Rims & Tires - Custom Rim Package was made specifically for this car! Rear Rims are Deep Dish & accommodate offset 17X9.5 5-120.65 on 245/45R-17 95H VSB VENTUS II H405. Front rims were also made 17X8 5-120.65 on 275/40R-17 98H DSB VENTUS II H405. Rims & Tires were just put on & have NO MILES ON THEM!!!! Headlights go up & down like new all the time Everytime with no delay or drop downs, barely used if used at all! Front & Rear Air Shocks BOTH NEW support hood & hatch perfect. Pull down motor for rear hatch works like new ALL LIGHTS WORK, HORN WORKS OEM FOG LIGHTS BOTH WORK Power Windows Go Up & down with ease Driver Side power seat functions as it should Interior: Seats are 2 tone black with gray accents. All are in very good condition except for driver side seat. There are four separate 3 inch separations in the seam of the seat. Beings it is right in the seam should easily be able to be repaired, refer to interior pictures to view. Back seats & passenger seats are like new with no wear. Back seat is the sought after 4 piece rear. All plastics are in excellent condition. No interior piece is cracked or missing. EVERYTHING IS COMPLETE! OEM T-tops liner is present but needs to be redone, has GTA power rear view mirror Currently t-top liner is bare but 100% intact. T-top bag & t-top straps are there. Extra set of Pin Style T-tops will be included. One set is mirrored set. Other set is tinted. Installed on interior is dome map lights from GTA that work as they should. Currently the car has a regular base line steering column that does not lock into place securely all the time. Included will be a tilt steering column out of a 88 GTA. Steering wheel on replacement column is in excellent condition. Have key to go with ignition & steering assembly from 88 GTA so you will have keys. DASH Pad is MINT. No cracks, no tears, no nicks, NO WEAR on dash pad! All lights function & work inside as they should. Power driver side seat. Power windows that go up & down. Door panels are in excellent condition. Included will also be floor mats that say "Get In, Sit Down, Shut Up, & Hang on"...Interior center console is a 5 speed manual console!! even though the trans is auto...had no intentions of keeping it automatic. Exhaust on T/A: Trans Am current exhaust is standard. No exhaust leaks. Dual Tail pipes. Exhaust Included: 4" Wide Dual Chrome Welded Tipped Flow Master Exhaust Suspension: WS6 Suspension Package. Passenger side rear shock needs replaced, all others in good condition. Brakes work as they should. Car was last inspected 11/10. Has not been off road for very long.
