Up for sale is 1998 BMW 740iL that is in need of some repairs. This would be a great buy for someone mechanically inclined who wants to put a little TLC into this ride. Car has lots of power and pretty much everything works on the car. Cold A/C, good tires (80%), sun roof, power rear windows shade, rear door shades, heated front seats, power seats to name a few. This has been my personal car since 2004 and ready to let it go now. The car runs and drives okay, however the timing chain recently started to rattle. It has not been driven much over the last year and has been in the garage for most of the year. That is probably why the timing chain started to rattle. The car is fun to drive and you can feel it's power when driving it. Within the last four months, I have replaced several parts to include the motor mounts (both sides), radiator, water pump, thermostat, fan, power steering pump, valve cover gaskets and spark plugs.
