Vehicle Detail
This machine is without compromise. It's acceleration can be gut-wrenching, yet it's street manners are excellent. It has never been driven in the rain and is awesome in looks and performance. It has taken 5 years to build this car and since completion, has been driven about 7k miles. I have had it to thee track just once, and it was amazing. Most of the driving is around town and meeting up with friends at car shows in and around South Carolina. The car has won many trophies and is a standout with other Mustangs. The car started out as a GT but was completely upgraded to a Cobra. Most of the work done to the car was to give it balance, reduce weight, and increase power. The suspension components are lightweight tubular chrome alloy steel. The engine block is aluminum which sheds about 150lbs from the nose of the car. To put the weight of the car (3.2k lbs) in perspective, compare its power to weight ratio to some of the production cars on the market. For example, the Mustang GT500 weighs in excess of 4k lbs. It's estimated RWHP is about 450 with about 80hp in drive train loss. So if you spend $50k on a new GT500, you will have a car that weighs almost 1000 lbs more than mine and puts 200 less HP to the ground. Similarly, a new ZR1 costing over $100k puts out about 600hp and weighs about 3700lbs. I have been very meticulous about taking care of this car. It has absolutely no signs of wear and the original paint is in beautiful condition, shining like a mirror. I have always used the best waxes and change the premium oil regularly. It has spent all of it's life in a garage, under cover when not in use. The black/grey leather interior is beautiful. The original front seats were replaced with premium Hunsaker seats for safety and comfort. These seats are capable of of using a 5 point harness if so desired. The interior gauges glow green at night and match the dash and Alpine stereo lights. The interior looks amazing at night with the lights on. A complete set of custom gauges monitor the engine and sit on the door pillar. When you start the car, it has a deep growl with strong lope at idle. You can hear the engine loping at about 900rpm idle through the wide Magnaflow exhaust. It is absolutely music to my ears! The blower is clearly noticeable. You can hear it at idle, and all the way up to the 7k redline. The blower is a Procharger F1R with straight cut gears for strength, and is robust and efficient. The power comes on very strong in all ranges. The SCT racing tuner package comes with the car, and will allow you to customize the timing and fuel tables along with other ECM settings. Unless you modify the car, there is no need to even use the tuner. This car is a masterpiece of performance. I am sure it will find a good home and bring many years of happiness and excitement to the new owner. As for me, I am over 70 years old now and need to move on. Remember that this car took 5 years to complete at a cost of $45k ($25K for parts, $20k labor and excludes the cost of the car). This is the best bargain of any performance car on EBAY. My loss is your gain.
