PLEASE DON'T ASK THE RESERVE. I AM HAPPY TO CONSIDER ALL OFFERS THOUGH. THANKS. 1947 OLDSMOBILE FASTBACK COUPE This is the Special 66 model 1947 oldsmobile. Rust free body that is in nice shape for a restoration or put a motor in it and drive it as-is. Clear title. This car is very cool looking as-is and would be an easy rat rod with it's original patina. I was going to lower it, put white walls on it and drive it as-is, and if it doesn't sell that's probably what I'll do. Just don't have enough time now. Here are the details. Included is a link to more pictures. BODY: The body on this car is in exceptional condition for an unrestored car. It is almost completely straight. There are a couple dings, but it is straighten than 99.99% of project car you will ever find for sale. No bondo and no primer to hide anything. The trunklid has been replaced which you can see in the last picture. The green one in that pic is perfect. Some pics show the damaged one that was previously on this car. The floors, trunk, frame etc. are nice and rust free. I have looked the car over very well and could find no rust. Included in the picture link are undercarriage photos. The trunk pan has a small "rip" where something either came up and tore it, or something was dropped from the inside. I can weld it for you if you'd like, I just haven't had time. You can see it in the pics. Visor is cool and is most likely an aftermarket version from the 40's. Firewall, header, dash, cowl, doors, fenders, spare tire tub, quarters, etc. etc. all look fine. Most of the trim, etc. is on the car. I know one taillight lense is broken but they are probably easy to find. I would think any oldsmobile from this year, and maybe other years, should fit. Only 3-hubcaps are included. I just switched it for the pics. Overall the body is in nice shape and mostly complete. MECHANICAL: The olds has no engine or transmission in it now but can come with two choices of motors, for no extra cost. One is the original style six cylinder with auto that is in another '47 that I have. It is non-running and most likely needs rebuilt. I also have a hi-po 455 with auto that can be included if you choose. This motor is complete with exception of the intake and carbs. It had a tunnel ram on it when I got it. It has alumacoat style headers and some chrome accessories but the motor should be rebuilt. It was still in a car when I bought it and the guy said it ran but I didn't hear it run. The '47 was originally a six-cylinder car I believe, because I think the straight 8 was only available in more expensive models. This car did originally have an auto though. The driveline, radiator, and other miscellaneous original hardware is included. Tires all hold air. I've never tried the brakes so they could work? The key is in the ignition. It doesn't look like any wires were cut when the motor was removed. INTERIOR: The interior needs full restoration and is complete. The radio is not pictured, but will be included. I have it in a parts car and will be including it with this car. The interior could be used for a rat rod if it were cleaned up and some kind of seat covers put in. Odometer is unreadable, which is why I put a zero in the vehicle specifics. It looks to have dust in there or may just be sun damaged. OVERALL: This is an easy rat rod or a solid start on a rod project or restore it back to original. This is a cool bodystyle that looks fast standing still. You usually see chevy fastbacks at carshows, but rarely see oldsmobiles. Thanks for looking and feel free to make an offer. I WILL CONSIDER ALL OFFERS THOUGH. I CAN ASSIST YOU IN GETTING SHIPPING QUOTES. THIS VEHICLE IS SOLD AS-IS WITH NO WARRANTY. I TAKE A LOT OF TIME TO GET ALL THE DETAILS AND THE CAR IS DESCRIBED AS I SEE IT. IT IS UNLIKELY THAT I WILL MISS EVEN A SMALL DETAIL, BUT IT IS POSSIBLE. THANKS. PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR WIFE AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE FUNDS FIRST. THANK YOU. Powered by eBay Turbo Lister The free listing tool. List your items fast and easy and manage your active items.
