Up for bid is a December 17th 1968 build VW Panel Bus. Its destination port was Seattle as a Comercial Vehicle. I did find it localy so Id bet its been around these parts ever since. It was last registered in 1987 according to the rear original plat-front on bus. It was found covered in a back yard under a tarp. This is a great starter project for those able to do mechanical and body work. As seen in the pics its a fairly straight-not beat to hell work vehicle. I will list the goods and the bads below. She is in decent overall condition suffering from problem rust spots prone to early bays. In the right hands this is a Gearson Panel patch floor and sections from the parts bus. Very straight side panels having side 70s heart windows put in and welded back over at some point. She rolls and steers fine as well as the included parts bus. The panel has a clear Washington title-the parts bus does not. Please let me know if you have any questions. This is your chance to get ahold of a fairly rare VW Work Vehicle. The Good: Its a straight early panel cargo and rear floor not beat and or rusted through Has original front interior Solid sub frame Comes with two Transmissions-correct 3ribs and tail lights Comes with a parts bus (no engine no title) The Bad: Rusted areas-battery tray, both rockers, front lower nose and floor, rear deck lid atachment point.(Good metal comes on parts bus) No motor-trans is out Dents in roof I will be able to help load this buses on a trailer if needed.
