The previous owner purchased it new back in the spring 1970 in Minnesota. I was told by his daughter that he loved this little car & said it would be a classic someday! The car has a great history record with the buyers order & repair orders from the purchasing dealer. Southtown motor sports sold it to him for a grand total of $1588.00. The document holder is still there. The owner has a block heater installed . As far as the reason he parked it the family was unsure. It was last running in 1985 according to the stickers on the plate. When I found it it has stuff piled on it in the garage. see the film on the hood The car has not been running in years. I did buy a new battery & cleaned up the carb float bowl. I was able to make it run for a few seconds before it ran out of gas in the carb, It is an automatic transmission. The interior is in great shape with an exception if a split in the driver seat cushion. The dash is flaking or split around the radio speaker. The sunvisor holders were broken off ON THE FRONT . YES ALL THE LIGHTS & FLASHER WORK . SO DOES THE HEATER FAN & WIPER MOTOR BOTH SPEEDS. The headliner is original with no stains. The glass is in great shape . The body needs repair in the rear left 1/4 fender near the tail light . . see pictures / The floors are very solid with no rotting holes . see all pictures that I have . . some rust holes in lower door sill sides. The engine still has coolant in it . I will add more pictures if needed & email any more for serious buyers . . THE BRAKES NEED PLENTY OF WORK I ASSUME. THE FUEL TANK NEEDS TO BE TAKEN OFF & CLEANED OUT OR REPLACED. The suspension does have pressure & fluid but has since bled down since it was sitting so long. . I am willing to pump it up for the new owner send me the equipment & I will have it ready when you pick it up . There is a great website about these cars . just google austin america it has great tips on working & restoring these rides. Notice the smog pump working too. .
