I'm selling my 1977 BMW R100RS motorcycle. VIN#6180888 which is the 888th made in year one of 1263 in 1977. Here is the good, bad and the ugly about the bike. To answer any questions you may have about the bike, the bike was bought by an older man roughly 10 years ago, he rode it around and found that it hurt his back and it has sat in his garage non ridden for 9-10 years. The bikes mileage was 16,782 and I titled it at 17,812 just a few months ago and it now has roughly 19,500.00 original miles. I bought it non running and had to rebuild both carburators with all new parts, o-rings, needles, jets, gaskets and floats. I also removed the tank and flushed out everything, bought two new petcocks, fuel lines, filters, changed oil and oil filter, new tires, new windshield, air filter. Valves and rockers, carb linkage, throttle cables and carbs were adjusted at a locate shop. I have been riding it just about every weekend since I bought it and it runs very good and really strong. I'm only selling it because I would like something newer to put some miles on and travel longer distances. Just had the bike in the shop and spent $400.00 on getting the bike adjusted and running great for the new buyer 2 days ago. Asking $4250.00 OBO
