Vehicle Detail

No Reserve auction is for an '80 Ford Bronco four wheel drive. I'm selling it for a good friend who's only put about 950 miles on it in the past 10 years (always kept inside), so he's decided to sell. The title shows actual mileage when he bought it and the odometer currently reads 73386. It has a 4.9L (300 cubic inch) inline six with a 4-speed (not overdrive), Ford lock-out hubs and 3:50 gears. It's pretty plain, but does have power steering, brakes, rear window and A/C. It also has a removable top (rear section), running boards and a receiver hitch. Condition: The body is in good shape as far as rust, but does have some starting above the front wheel lips and some surface bubbling in chips along the sides. The floors, inner sheet metal, doors and tailgate are solid and in good shape also. The original paint is tired and has some dents (including some hail dents), scratches and chips, but still looks good for a hunting rig. The interior needs some detailing as shown in the pics, but overall not too bad with only a couple cracked plastic pieces and the dash speaker area. The windshield has some strange separation defects in the middle near a chip, but these aren't expensive to replace if it bothers you. The engine starts and runs good with a recent carb kit and service. A cheap under dash oil gauge shows about 50 pounds cold. After it's all warmed up it's down to around 30 pounds at 60mph and 5 pounds at idle. It's been that way since my friend bought it and was that way the whole time his friend owned it before him. It doesn't make any bad knocks or clatters other than the normal 300 six cam gear sounds and a little rattle for a second at start up if it sits for a few days. I took it for about a 20 mile drive and everything seemed to work as it should except the A/C needs to be charged. It likes 55-60mph, but sounds like the rpm's are up pretty good beyond that with the gearing, so keep that in mind if you plan on driving it home long distance. I tried the 4X4 at road speed also and everything sounded good. I'll let the pictures finish the description, but if you have a question or want a better photo of something, just e-mail me and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. The truck comes with a clear South Dakota title and we'll provide a 30 day temp plate, so you can drive it home. The truck is sold as-is and shipping is the buyers responsibility. Cash only at pick up unless something else is arranged ahead of time like a cashiers check sent a week or so before a shipper picks the truck up. You're welcome to come look at it anytime, just let me know and I'll set it up. Thanks for looking. Could be used for: off road, hill climb, mud drag, mountain trail, school car, commuter, work truck, pulling a boat, restoration, custom, xlt, ranger, mudder, 78, 79, 80 ,81, 82, 83, 84, 85, 86, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986 On Sep-07-11 at 08:29:28 PDT, seller added the following information: Just thought I'd add a few more things. It has new front pads, but the anti-rattle clips weren't installed so they make a little ticking noise until the brakes are applied. It also has a new master cylinder with fully bled, good working brakes, but the pedal sits lower than the clutch pedal (rod adjustment?). The clutch works good (no shakes or slippage), but you can hear the throw out bearing a little when it's pushed in. Tires look ok with usable tread for a while (not all weather cracked), but they are well over ten years old. Exhaust is good and the lights, wipers etc all function. Someone installed an XLT radio plate with an aftermaket stereo along with a couple cup holders screwed to the dash. The rear seat has a ripped seam and the recovered front has a cigarette burn. The rear end, tranfer case, engine etc all show aged signs of oil seepage over time, but the only drip on the floor is a slight leak from the front end center section. Nothing running out, but did drip a couple drops over the past week. Keep the questions coming and thanks for looking.
