Vehicle Detail

1939 Plymouth P-8 Rumbleseat Coupe Convertible, VIN 10813382 REDUCED PRICE! The car is a very nice, older restoration vehicle. It runs and drives very well. Body and engine numbers match. I have a copy of the build sheet and authentication letter from the Chrysler Museum. The engine and drive train have been recently rebuilt (see below). The seats, boot liner, spare tire cover, and tonneau are matching maroon Naugahyde. The floor mats are bound carpet to match the seats. The top is in excellent condition, and the bars are in good shape. The power top lift vacuum cylinders have been reconditioned. Turn signals are mounted behind the grille. Door windows are fully functional. The rumble seat compartment is without defect. There are no original tools; jack and tire wrench provided. The car has been repainted in Aviator Blue, a popular and correct 1939 color; original color was 501 Silver Wing Gray, with black top. Original radio is present but non-functional; FM/cassette system in glove box, stereo speakers in under-dash side kick panels. Tires are tube-type bias-ply 6.50x16 with 3½ -inch white sidewalls in good condition. Generator has been replaced with alternator. Twin carburetors with split manifolds and twin exhaust. Car cover. Restored running gear (2007-2010): rebuilt the steering linkages, tie rod ends, and aligned the front end, replaced all the seals in the drive train, rebuilt the brakes with new master cylinder and new wheel cylinders, rebuilt the engine, clutch, transmission with new cluster gear and rear bearing, ignition system and plug wires, starter motor, and carburetors(2); engine block boiled out, resleeved, and rebored to original diameter spec; new pistons, rings, all bearings, valves, valve springs, oil pump, water pump, fuel pump, SS water tubes, head bolts and washers; ground crank and cam, turned flywheel, refurbished the radiator, installed new hand brake drum and refurbished band. installed a new Interstate 6-volt battery installed halogen lamps in headlights and taillights, restored the red striping to the dash, hood ornament, headlight frames, and bumper overriders, touched up all paint blemishes new distributor cap, points, condenser, ignition points, wires
