1963 Cadillac Sedan DeVille Hardtop. Cadillac 390, auto trans, ps, pb, p antenna, p seats, p trunk, air. I've had my fun with her and it's time for something new. Car is VERY sound mechanically (I will describe shortly).. cosmetically, car is in very good condition given its age.. however, by no means is it a show car. Since purchasing the car a year ago I've put around 12K into her and have receipts to prove. So here's the breakdown.. THE GOOD- freshly rebuilt 390, heads decked, bored .030 (please check photo) with less than 300 miles- freshly rebuilt transmission with less than 300 miles- true duel exhaust just installed ($600) and sounds amazing!- new Edlebrock 1406 4brl carb- new aluminum radiator w/lifetime warranty (exact replacement)- new one wire alternator- new battery- new mechanical fuel pump and fuel filter- new gas sending unit- fresh tune up- freshly rebuilt power brake booster w/duel master cylinder- 4 new wheel cyl- 4 new Coker 3 1/8" wide white radials with less than 100 miles- 4 new Cragar Smoothies w/bullet caps (still have original steels and hubcaps to be included)- interior in very good condition.. no tears in seats, headliner doesn't sag, floors are solid- Petronix Electronic Ignition- new oil pan gasket- freshly rebuilt front end complete rebuilt kit- new passenger front window motor, driver rear window motor, reconditioned switches. All windows power up and down and fast.. rear pass a little slower. - current inspection and insured, and driven daily.. doesn't smoke and doesn't leak (there are some spots on the ground but that was before rebuild. Also, some spots on ground because valve covers weren't tightened back up but that's been solved no problem. I'm probably leaving quite a bit out as I've done a ton to this car up to date. THE BAD- body has some very light surface rust and imperfections (mostly in spots the size of a dime or less)- I believe paint is original. Looks great once polished (see indoor photo), but could use a fresh paint job to look outstanding- chrome has pitting and some scratches. A little tlc will greatly minimize that.. I just don't have the time to get into it any longer- passenger side bezel around park light missing, but I have a replacement bumper (just that side) included with car.. just haven't had time to change.- trunk floor is has rust.. but I have a new 18 gauge steel exact fit replacement trunk pan included with car.. just haven't had time to install yet- dash pad has a small crack near autronic eye.- temp gauge doesn't work, I believe clock doesn't work but not sure, gas gauge half works (has new sending unit but for some reason gauge only reads half tank when full).- rear bumper is a little dinged up but nothing major and still looks good, radio powers up but thats it. needs speakers.- car came with factory ac but does not currently work. Fixing the ac was never a real concern of mine therefore I'm not sure what it would need exactly- rear deck (between back windshield and seats) needs new board. currently just the fabric in place (a cheap fix though) **I want to be as honest as I can, as I've been skunked on here before and I know how it feels! The seller was a scumbag and flat out lied to me. It sucks and I don't want to ever treat anyone like he's treated me. That said, the reason I'm selling this car is because my heart is just not in it anymore. My plan was to restore her fully but I'm looking for something in the 40s now. She's a great car and runs like a BEAST.. and with a little bit of work and a few dollars on smoothing the body and paint.. she'll be gorgeous for sure!! The hard stuff has already been taken care of. Bag and stripe her and she'll turn heads for sure!
