I bought the car in June from the original owner who had it for 20 yrs. At the time I didnt have a car and I just had to have this one. It had 43,xxx on it and since then it put on another 2k so it rought has 45,875 miles. I'am selling the GTI only because my wife cant drive stick shift and with only 1 car in Chicago, we need an automatic. About the car: This GTI is as mint as you can get to a 20 yr old car. With low milage, it has been taken car of very well by the previous owner and myself with up to date maintenance. Exterior: 100% original and has some nice upgrades like the Zender rear spoiler (which was resprayed in July) Rare MOMO Ferrari wheels, European Hella Rally lights with Euro Holders. Very rare front grille badge which only came in 91-92 models. Interior: Nice recaro seats, Rally gauges, MOMO Steering wheel, Original 16v floor matts with MOMO alluminum matts place on top of them, MOMO shift knob/boot/pedal set. Pioneer Cassette stereo/cd changer, extra pioneer rear side speakers, Pioneer rear shelf speakers, in the trunk subwoofer, 4 amps/crossovers that the PO put in ($2,500 upgrade in the 90's) Has a performance chip, front and rear neuspeed sway bars. The car drives like new and needs nothing, AC converted to R 134 All the mods are period correct. The PO mentioned that he did his best to replace every Mexican part with German OEM parts. Looking under the hood, it is very believable Being a perfectionist the car does have some small cosmetic issues that could be fixed: I Included pictures 1. Less then Dime size surface rust spot by the drivers side rear window seal. Not noticible unless inches away, no leaks or anything like that 2. Small burn hole on rear seat, less then dime size 3. Headliner is slightly starting to sag. Common problem in the cars, but it still looks very good 4. Small paint chip or dings here and there, nothing noticible, just being as honest as I can be All the electrics work 100%. everything works I have the original parts such as the steering wheel, shift knob, car cover, Bentley book other misc items to be included. I have the service manual kit, 2 sets of keys and some maintenance invoices (nothing was done to the car except basic oil change and maintenance) Never had any issues, its virtually a new car driving wise.
