Vehicle Detail

I have a 1982 Ford Mustang GT T-Top up for sale. This car is almost all original. It still has the original 5.0L V8 2bbl, 4spd, and all original interior. The wheels and tires were changed before I purchased the car. The car now has a set of aluminum slots that are in good condition, the tires still have most of their tread being as the car has only driven about 1000 miles over the past year. The car does have a dual exhaust that I don't believe was factory, I do not know the brand of mufflers. It is a very quiet exhaust, I like the tone it has at idle and it is almost inaudible while driving. I had new catalytic converters installed last year to get it inspected. It currently has a current PA inspection. The Mustang runs and drives great. Starts right up and shifts are very smooth. This year after winter I replaced the battery, ignition module, fuel filter, spark plugs, and thermostat. The body is very solid but will need a paint job or touched up because of some sun fading and a few surface scratches (the body wasn't damaged) from the previous owner. The interior is in great condition for the year but needs a few small touches to complete it. The radio has never worked since I purchased the car and never got around to getting it to work again. The passenger window crank knob is broken but the window still works fine. Headliner will need replaced over the rear seats. As for the window seals of the car I only ever drove the car once in the rain and the only one that had an issue was the driver side A-pillar, it has lost the lip over the years and now leaks a little at the very top of the window. Surprisingly, the T-Tops from what I can tell don't leak (that's a first for me) and everything else seems dry. Since the car was purchased in 1984 by a friend of the family to currently it has been garaged. The only other issue I have with the car is that the rear hatch latch seems to have difficulty closing sometimes. I never had a chance to tear it apart to see if something was sticking or not. Being as I rarely used the hatch (I only had the T-Tops out once) I left it alone. The hatch shock will also need to be replace but that is it for what is wrong with the car. I really do like this car and it won't need much to become a great show car, the only reason I am selling this car is because I just recently moved and lost a lot of garage and driveway space so I have to lose some of my toys. I have the title in hand and currently have the car stored at a family members garage up in Butler, PA. This is a truely beautiful car and as much as I don't want to sell it I just don't have the room for it anymore. I tried to cover all the issues with the car that way there is no surprises to anyone who purchases the car. If you have any questions at all please let me know! I hope you enjoy the car as much as I do! Good luck and happy bidding! On Aug-26-11 at 19:01:47 PDT, seller added the following information: As of today (8-26-2011) I had a new inspection done on the car. Since last year I have put 600 miles on the car. I am in an non emissions area so the car has never had them done (I don't see why it wouldn't pass but just a heads up). Also I forgot about 2 quarter size surface rust spots on the hatch under the rear window. They aren't very bad and if you plan on repainting the car it would be an easy fix. Also has some rust under the right side trim (not bad and it is all surface, a piece of trim fell off last year while driving it [the peice is missing and can be seen in the picture of the car in the garage] and I noticed the spots). The headlight knob keeps coming off of the switch also, the switch still works fine but just cosmetically needs repaired or replaced. I want to make sure nobody has any bad surprises with the car when they get it and I hope the best of luck to anyone bidding on the car. I will really miss it. Any questions please ask!
