Vehicle Detail
Almost finished complete restoration of original 1970 Sport Satellite. This car was rescued from a storage facility and driven from Northern Ca to Mo in 2003. I have full documentation of the complete disassembly and step-by-step restoration to better than new condition. Exterior : The body work speaks for itself, all original sheetmetal except for lower quarters and trunk pan. Bumpers rechromed, correct vinyl top professionally installed, windshield and rear window gaskets reconditioned and pro installed. All chrome on exterior is original and reconditioned. Body was hand sanded and multiple coats of original Tor-Red paint applied. Framerails were rust free before sandblasting and repaint. Drivetrain : Original 318 replaced with a 383 motor stripped to the bare block. This motor was professionally rebuilt using new KB racing pistons; crank inspected and balanced; magnifluxed connecting rods,; new seals; new rings; new push rods; mopar windage tray; mopar purple shaft cam; edelbrock hi-rise manifold; holley 750cfm dual pump carb; new starter; new fuel pump; .....oil pan; etc... The motor comes with an original dual snorkel air cleaner not included in pics. Everything in motor is new or original Mopar. This motor has been bench dyno'd at 420 HP. Directing the exaust is a brand new TTI exaust beginning with high-temp ceramic coated headers and 3" exaust. 727 Transmission is completly rebuilt with a 3000 rpm stall converter as well as a complete transmission rebuild kit. 8 3/4 rear end has new 3.71 ring and pinion as well as all new seals. Mopar SS leaf springs were installed to assist with launch from the christmas tree. Many other parts too numerous to mention. Suspension : Complete "Just Suspensions" front end rebuild kit with polyuretane bushings. Interior : Original bucket seats need recovering. Original rear seat needs recovering. Needs new carpet. Needs headliner. Complete undamaged center console with rear lite included. Dash pad reconditioned to original, new rear package tray. New correct door panels from Legendary interiors. This car has never been on the road. The brakes need to be redone as well as the interior. I have spent over $15,000.00 on this car as well as countless hours with disassembly, restoration, and reassembly. Everything was done according to original Mopar shop manual (included with sale). The motor has fired, runs strong, but never driven. The transmission seems to slip in moving the car around the shop, but must be minor as all components were replaced new. I will answer all questions. Feel free to do any inspections as desired. The car will be for sale locally and the auction may end early. Many more pictures available.
