1966 LC. Complete 462 factory engine, with a 4 barrel rebuilt carb off of a '66 Thunderbird. Solid car for restore. Original paint and interior. Still starts right up after a few cranks, but will not go into drive. Things I have done to it: -Restored gas tank (with kit from JC Whitney) -Rebuilt Carb - Flushed tranny fluid -Installed trans cooler onto radiator - Replaced all heater hoses - Replaced points, distributor cap, and plug wires - Stripped paint off trunk and rear passenger quarter panel. The restore: I'm assuming either I have the carb set wrong or there is something wrong with the tranny, or the parking brake is stuck. When it starts it idles high and when I put it into drive it stalls out. The power windows do not work, because the vacuum lines are disconnected, but they do have new motors in at least the front two windows. The radio and lights work. The rear passenger door will need a new sleeve. There is rust, but most can be easily repaired. I bought as a project, but am running out of room to work on others, wish I could keep her.
