This 1971 El Camino is equipped with a 350cubic Inch 8 cylinder engine which was rebuilt in 2007 and has less than 8,000 miles on the engine. It has a mild cam, roller rockers, has a high performance intake, new 4 barrel carburetor, H.E.I. Excel distributor, headers, dual exhaust , all chrome dress up package and many other high performance parts purchased by me from “summit racing”. I had the rear rebuilt in 2009 and it has positive traction with a 4:10 gear ratio, the transmission was replaced with a metric 400 with electric overdrive. The front brakes were converted to power disc and the brake booster and master cylinder are new. All front end parts are new, ball joints, steering components and rear drum brakes. All the suspension (springs, shocks) are new. Fresh yellow paint with black rally stripe was just done in June of this year. The interior is very nice except for the black bucket seats. When I replaced the transmission I bought a new floor shifter and the original bench seat would not fit with the floor shifter. I still have the original bench seat in mint condition. All new tires and 16” chrome rims. I lost count at about $30,000.00 invested into the El Camino and I am probably forgetting a lot of other new things that I have done to it. I own a used car dealership which I just moved after 20 years in Philadelphia, PA to a much bigger operation in Bridgeton, NJ and have no time to drive it or to finish the car to make it show condition and am now going to sell it and just take my losses.
