The Mach 1 is the performance model of the Mustang that Ford first produced beginning in 1969.
Ours is a true M code 1969 Mustang Mach 1 with the original 351W engine and Marti report.
We purchased the car as a partially started restoration in 2007 with the intention of completing the car. We have moved on to other projects leaving this project for someone else to enjoy.
The prior owner rebuilt the 351 Windsor (bored 30 over). The heads were polished and ported. A high volume oil pump was installed. It is missing a carburetor and the engine is uninstalled. It has a FMX transmission.
The prior owner began media blasting the car installing new
floor pans, door skins and inner/outer rear quarter panels. The roof has been
untouched. All the glass (windshields, side windows) is missing.
The interior is in rough shape with most of the dashboard missing. The high back seats are in place but torn. It will need door panels and carpeting.
Obviously the car does not run and must be trailered from our lot.
We DO NOT have any more information on this car. There is no
inventory of missing parts. There is no inventory of the original parts
included in the pictures. Please come look for yourself if you want a better
assessment of the cars condition.
This car is better than a barn find since some of the work has already been started. It will make a great winter project.
