Vehicle Detail
For Sale: 2000 Old Bravada, 164,010 miles, dark green, very well maintained. I have owned this car since it had 69,964 miles on it. Thus, I have had it since October 2005 and have done about 94,000 miles with it. This car has never been smoked in, since I owned it, or before then (as far as I can tell). I am selling this now only because my son, who has been driving it the last two years, is heading off to his freshman year in college, out of state, at an urban campus, where he will not need a car for the next 4 years. I want to sell the car and give him the money for college. I just looked at the maintenance records and I have had at least 22 oil changes, mostly at Lube Stop, one of those quick-lube places, in the 94,000 miles I have owned it. I typically had the oil changed every 4,000 miles. I would always go with whatever the Lube Stop place recommended - and, yes, I know, they sold me a lot of extra services. But, that worked for me and kept this car in great shape. This car has the premium Bose radio/AM/FM radio/Cassette/6 CD changer and radio/CD controls are on the steering wheel which is safer and more convenient; and dual air bags and heated front seats, which is great for the cold winters. Automatic Sun Roof. Power Windows, Locks and front seats, all of which work. It has a 60/40 Split-Fold-Down rear bench seat. Smart-Trak All-Wheel Drive System. Power steering. Rear defrost and rear wiper. Fog lights. Daytime Running Lights. Deep Tinted Rear Glass. Cruise Control. 4.3 liter V6 engine. Automatic Transmission. Power Mirrors. Overhead Console. So that you are not buying an unknown quantity: here is the maintenance history since I have owned the car, from most recent to oldest: 1) summer of 2011: air conditioner fixed and new freon added; new intake manifold gasket; right front passenger window motor fixed; new front brakes (2 weeks ago) and new EGR valve (last week) and Lube, Oil, Filter on 8/6/11 at 163,852 miles. Prior to that time, here is my maintenance history and at which mileage, and "OLF" means "Oil, Lube and Oil Filter" replaced: 161,476: OLF, Transmission Flush, Air Filter and oil sytem cleaner; 154,050: OLF, new front brake pads, rotors, calipers; 150,910: OLF, oil system cleaner, air filter, rear and front differential service, transfer case service: 146,936: OLF,Serpentine Belt Replaced, fuel filter, fuel system cleaner, radiator flush. 143,342: OLF, oil system cleaner, wiper blades; 138,712: OLF, oil system cleaner; transmission flush, air filter, PCV valve; 135,024: 4 new tires; 133,875: OLF, rear and front differential service; 129,253 OLF; 125,393: wiper blades; 124,794: OLF, air filter, oil system cleaner: 121,973: new left front brake caliper bolts: 120,399: OLF, fuel system cleaner. 115,428: OLF, fuel filter, oil system cleaner; 112,094: OLF, oil system cleaner: 108,020: OLF, air filter, PCV valve; 103,759: OLF, new front and rear brakes, calipers and rotors; new right inner and outer tire rod ends, new idler arm and Pitman arm, and 2 new tires; 96,905: OLF and 2 new tires; 93,364: OLF, oil system cleaner, transmission flush, front and rear differential service, transfer case service: 89,228: OLF. 86,040: OLF, fuel filter, air filter, oil system cleaner; 82,265: OLF; 77,763: OLF, oil system cleaner, PCV valve; 74,899: rear brake pads, calipers and rotors; 73,300: OLF, oil system cleaner, wiper blades and air filter. That is the whole maintenance history. As I said, I did whatever Lube Stop or my local mechanic recommended and it kept the car running very well and, more importantly, safely with my kids in it or driving it. I know of NO mechanical issues with this car. The "check engine" light came on last week and the mechanic said I needed a new EGR valve and it had that put in. It has always PASSED Ohio's emissions tests without a problem. My son says that the front left speaker occaisonally "crackles" or goes off momentarily, suggesting a loose speaker wire - but I never had any problem listening to the radio or music in the 6 CD changer. It has the upgrade "Bose" radio. The jack cover in the back fell off once and the plastic things holding it on broke off. Thus, we re-affixed it with velcro and it stays on. I have never used the jack or even taken it out of the rear compartment. I have 2 keys but the remote does not work and may just need a new battery. Title is clear and in hand. The body and interior are in good shape. But, keep in mind, that this car has 164,010 miles on it and, thus, the leather seats have some wear and the body has some scratches. The seats have no tears, just ordinary wear. I am not aware of any body dents - just some scratches here and there - normal stuff for an 11 year old car. The car runs very well. After the AC died a month ago, we had that fixed and it blows cold. If you know these cars, the intake manifold gaskets eventually go (so the mechanic told me) and mine did and I had it replaced in June 2011, so that should not be an issue for you. I am not a mechanic, and don't know much about cars, which is why I always took the advice of the Lube Stop and local mechanic, even if they were selling me "extra services". Thus, this car is sold "AS IS". There are no warranties, express or implied, offered or available. It is running very well and safely for my 18 year old, who is leaving in 2 weeks for college, for 4 years maybe more, and that is the only reason I am selling it. The car is still being used now but we will keep any additional miles to a minimum and make my son share another car with his younger sister. Niether car nor title will not be released until I have your Paypal funds in hand or your certified check clears my bank. You are free to come to Bay Village, Ohio, 12 miles west of Cleveland, to test drive it or to to have me take it with you to a local mechanic of your choice. I would like a $500 downpayment via Paypal, within 24 hours of purchase, and full payment within a week. You are free to arrange shipping, at your cost, and I will cooperate with your confirmed shipper after payment clears.
